Getting my friends into visual novels

So I’m trying to get some of my friends into visual novels, anybody have some tips on how to do it? Specifically I’ve been trying to get 2 friends into visual novels, one got interested in sankaku renai and is interested in getting it but the other person isn’t really getting into it. I’m probably gonna try some more people so I’d very much appreciate some tips

try some gameplay focused games. Utawarerumono (although the gameplay is sparse), 13 sentinels (debatable if this is a vn), Kamidori Alchemy Meister. If nothing is interesting then you just have to accept that VN's are not his thing and that's ok.

Well he did play it, bout 9 hours but he seems to play other games more.
