a question about Canvas 2, if anyone knows

So, I looked at them, on VNDB and it doesnt look like it, but I just wanted to ask to be sure. Is Canvas and Canvas 2 related, or are the basically 2 different worlds? Like is Canvas 2 a direct sequel of Canvas, or a stand-alone?

Canvas 2 is not a sequel for Canvas!

It's basically a different story, but if you see well, the place where they take place is the same, and some of the character in Canvas is mentioned in Canvas2 since they are graduate from the school Canvas2 take place at.

If a direct sequel then NO is the answer. It's like how Da Capo Series turned out... (Da Capo I & II more precisely)
