Why wait for BDs? I doubt anyone is going to sub them, the TV release was not fansubbed.

 

And I don't think there's anything that'll be changed in the BDs, maybe the shower scene will be a bit more explicit, but aside from that there's not much that could be changed.

Now I'm curious, do they vary greatly from the originals?

Only noticeable changes are in Nisemonogatari (dat shower scene was amazing in the BDs) as well as panty shots~

The rest of the BDs hardly has anything different aside from better coloring here and there.

 

Hence why i'm saying the wait is not really worth it, you can just re-watch the BDs later, there's no real reason not to watch it now and lose on the awesomeness.

But it's your choice.

Edit: I actually watched Bakemonogatari's TV version in the past, but that was when I wasn't sucked into Monogatari yet. There were a number of additional scenes, if I remember correctly.
