Zhiroo Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Spirited away, no difficulty. I was about to lose faith in humanity if nobody said this while I was scrolling down on the posts. Indeed Spirited Away #1 forever. I guess Sword of the Stranger is #2 for me and Grave of the Fireflies is #3 as these three are the only anime movies I've watched. I prefer series more myself but an Anime fan should never not watch Spirited Away at least. EDIT: Hmm apparently I watched Higashi no Eden movies, forgot about those. Quote
Eldin Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9zHfbm1akM origin, spirits of the past. another pretty good one. Quote

Nighthowl Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I like Paprika. It messed with my head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJzEW_eE1G0 Quote
AlphaSixNine Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.... It might change though once I get my hands on Steins;Gate movie. Quote
GoldenSorcerer Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I haven't read too many, but my favourites would be Kara no Kyoukai and Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu. Quote
nohman Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Nostalgia bomb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQS1PhLVC5c Disjointed and probably not good, but I'd say it's one of my favorites for nostalgia sake. Quote
roninmedia Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa is my favorite. Hotaru no Haka is my second favorite. I've seen all of Miyazaki's and Makoto Shinkai's full length works. My wallet is ready for that inevitable Miyazaki Complete Works - First Press Blu-Ray Collector's Set. I have a mixed collection of many anime movies on DVD, but as I get more income, slowly getting the Blu-Ray versions of them. Quote
Helvinek Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Kotonoha no Niwa and 5 Centimeters per Second. Every time I watch those two movies I cry a little bit inside. But it isn't a cry of sorrow, it is a cry of happiness and a slight case of self-realization. :') Quote
krill Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 XxxHOLiC the Movie: A Midsummer Night's Dream The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Perfect Blue The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Blood The Last Vampire 5cm per second summer wars Wicked City these are in no particular order but as for my fave that woukd be xxx holic, theres just to many for me to really pick and choose from Quote
MellowMadman11 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 A lot of great movies have already been named, so i'll go with one that hasn't been named. Jin-Roh Quote
Guest Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 My favorite one would be Wolf Children. Such a nice story, well animated and voice acting was perfect. Quote
krill Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 i just saw the other day aura : Maryuuinkouga Saigo no Tatakai it was fantastic its now one of my faves they handled the whole chunnibyou phenomenon much more realistically then i was expecting and the way they show what its truly like to be bullied for being different really struck a chord with me Quote
Forythos Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I got Wolf Children on Bluray/DVD(combo) for Christmas. I had already seen it once, but I couldn't stop crying through most of the film once again. I think Mamoru Hosoda is turning out to be one of my favorite anime directors. Next one I've been planning to watch is the Saint Onii-san movie, I think I got it around the same time as the Steins;Gate movie, but haven't gotten arount to waching it yet. I've also been pondering wether or not I want to watch the second movie of Osamu Tezuka's Buddha. Quote
Guest hairybumslapper Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Kotonoha no Niwa (short length, but the animation is freaking gorgeous.) Steins;Gate -Fuka Ryouiki no Deja Vu (liked how it focused more on the relationship between okabe and kurisu.) Quote
noctisnw1 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 My favorite anime movie is Blue Submarine No.6 Quote
Charmanderson Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Altought I'm pretty sure i have watched many anime movies, The only ones that come to mind are Summer Wars, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Quote
Scars Unseen Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Hmm... a lot of the ones I like have been listed already, but I have to say that I really like the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. They started out as a retelling of the first part of the series, only with a lot of Shinji's whining cut out, and then they screwed the story in a completely new direction that I'm really digging so far. It's been a while since I've been this impatient for a sequel movie to be released. Quote
violity Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) I have to say that most of my favorite anime movies comes Hayao Miyazaki Films XD Some of those are of course, Whisper of the Heart *Kyaaaa Seiji-kun <3*, From up on a poppy hill, Howl's Moving Castle.. Edited January 29, 2014 by Down Double-post Quote
MiyukiMiya Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I'm going to say Madoka: Rebellion Story. Yeah, it wasn't the best thing out there, but it was the first time I had been to the movies with friends in a long time, so that probably has something to do with it. That, and I was pretty much just speechless the entire movie. Quote
Drakenero Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Dissapearence of Haruhi Suzumiya. And Steins;Gates movie (I forgot the name) Quote
FruitsPunchSamurai Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Gintama the movie Be Forever Yorozuya is definitely my favorite Quote
Vokoca Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 The Kara no Kyoukai movies are my favourites - if I had to pick one, I'd go for either the fifth or the seventh movie, but I really like them all. Quote
