Grisaia no Kajitsu Scene Transition Problem

Hello guys, I've recently started playing visual novels (finished KS and Narcissu so far) and I decided to try out others-- GnK being my 3rd. 

Now to the problem: around this specific scene,

After clicking to get to the next scene, it just blacks out with nothing happening after that. Is this a common bug? Or does it have to do with the english patch? 

Also, any other VNs I should know about that don't require mounting an ISO (and english patched)

I'm actually playing it right now about to finish the last story arc c; I haven't had anything like that happen at all. Make sure you have your non-unicode set to Japanese. (Dunno how that affects the game or if it will really help I just know it gives you all sorts of problems if it's not done)

Yeah I have my non-unicode set to Japanese. Thanks anyways though~

Make sure your files are not on read-only

Select all the files in the directory > right click > properties > uncheck read only

None of them had been "Read-Only" 

Shoot, I'm so eager to play the game.  DX
