Visual Novel Reader and Hoshimemo (FVP games?)

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with VNR and the Hoshimemo games? Particularly whenever the game attempts to hook text, like so. It has actually been going on for a while now (around August-September). I had just assumed it was a known bug from one of the big updates that happened around that time since prior to it I was able to connect both of the games to VNR just fine. Every other game I have also works perfectly fine with it, which is what I find the most odd about this. I've also re-downloaded and updated again, but to no avail.

Is there something you need the VNR for? I mean if the VNR doen't work with Hoshimemo, you could always try ITH to hook the text and use Translator aggrigator to do the normal translation work that VNR also does. it should work with Hoshimemo

Nah it's definitely not a necessity. I just find it much more convenient as a whole. It's one of those "once you do this, you can't go back" things. I used translation aggregator prior to VNR so I'm familiar with it.

With VNR it's so that the first person reading the title gets the task to choose the right hook-settings. If he sets them wrong you can still change them I think on menu->text settings.

 

VNR is build upon ith.

Just to make this easy, if you happen to have VNR and either of the Hoshizora games, could you check if the text hooks correctly for you? That way I can know for sure that the problem is on my side.

It works if you enter manual /h code for the original title it's /HS8@2B056:user32.dll

 

If you want me to get the /h code for eternal heart, I want a good torrent for it.

Hmm the code isn't working for me. I have an older version of the game that doesn't have the new Chinami voice actor, so that may be why.


Oh and btw I really appreciate you helping me out with this. Seems like there aren't many VNR users around here.

You could get the /h code if you get it running under ith, there's an option in ith to copy the /h code to clipboard. I got hoshimemo running under latest ith (that is version 3.0).
