[Windows8] Sengoku Rance CGs not saved

Hi, i'm having the exact same problem as this fellow :

Except i'm running windows 8, and i didn't manage to solve it. The problem as described in that other thread is that the game works perfectly fine except the CG mode is empty when everytime i load a save game (even if i don't quit the game), which is very annoying, because i can't look at the pretty pictures i should have unlocked. I also have to go to the "continue" menue twice before seeing my save games in the list, but this isn't the core issue.

 

I set my locale to Japanese, I tried to modify the permissions of the game folder (though i'm not sure what i was doing tbh), and tried to run as administrator, to no avail, compatibily modes don't help either.

 

So if anyone who solved that issue could help me (either i didn't understand the permission business, or there an additional issue with win8), that would be greatly appreciated,
