Clephas Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 I love space operas, so I'd love to suggest one to you... but so far, there are no LOGH-scale space operas out there yet in VNs. There is a LOGH VN... but I dunno what it is like, since I've never found a live download. For those of you silly enough to suggest it, Galaxy Angel doesn't count. It's a charage with sci-fi action, lol. Quote

Im a big fan of the genre logh and crest of the stars are two of my favorite animes ever. Although I would like something at least decent, recently I tried to play Soul Link but the beggining was so damn horrible I stoped playing really quickly, I mean it could be a good VN but the beggining was horrible. Clephas Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 One problem is that it is very rare for a VN to be written from a true third-person perspective, which tends to mean that space opera as a genre has trouble making its way in... for that matter, writers that can handle something on that scale in the first place are rare. Conjueror Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 This list painfully lacks Himawari. You should check it out if you haven't yet; its hard sci-fi of biology/astronomy is easily on-par with Haru Made, Kururu; and it actually offers an inspiring and dramatic story along with it. And it's probably the closest we have to a space opera VN; almost half of the action actually happens in space (can't promise any spaceship battles though xD). Quote
Getsuya Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Would Routes fit on this list? It has a very modern setting but I feel like it deals with just enough fringe science to push it over the edge to SF. Unless I just didn't get far enough to find out that the twist is that there was no fringe science going on and it was all a ruse or something. I feel like it gets overlooked next to Leaf/Aquaplus's other stuff but it was a pretty good read. It had a confident main character and the girls were all pretty interesting once you started digging into their deeper layers. Quote
