irvn Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 In my trip to Tokyo earlier this year I picked up a copy of the Infinity Plus box, containing Never7, Ever17, Remember11, and 12Riven. All games work fine, but Never7 requires me to keep a "Play Disc" physically inserted into a drive, otherwise the bgm does not play. I tried ripping the disc and mounting it virtually, even using the same drive letter as the disk I used to install the game, but it did not work for some reason even though it should look the same as physically having the disk in a drive from the perspective of the game? It's annoying in this day and age to have to carry an external disk drive in order to play a game I paid for. Is there something I'm missing that can make the game think the virtual drive is a real one? Quote
malucart Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 (edited) This is a Windows game from 2001, so that's what it's like. This official PC port is avoided these days because it has technical issues, less features and less content, so unless you really want to play this version, you might be better off looking at playing another version of the game. Otherwise, I think either you're out of luck or there's some really obscure patch I haven't heard of. Edited October 14, 2024 by malucart Quote
