Novels that are similar to Setoguchi Renya's style

Setoguchi Renya style of writing consists of leaving deep impactful messages on the mind of the reader, through shocking events and brilliant prose. I think this was most prominent in Swan Song and HiraHira Hihiru, since reading these two novels I've been longing for any novel that is strongly meaningful and leaves a significant message on me as a reader. I want every recommendation you could think of, as long as it fits the same category as these two novels or the same niche this writer fulfills.
