Raidy Posted Friday at 02:48 PM Posted Friday at 02:48 PM Hello there, I am starting my way on this world of VN's following a recommendation (Rance) of one of my friends, after i finished playing the first one and also another VN (Katawa Shoujo) i saw myself in it for real; i already kinda see what i most like from some reviews and images, which is something lighthearted that contains porn (obsviously) and gameplay, VN's like Kara no Shoujo or Subarashiki Hibi are definitely not for me - maybe there's a hypocresy on me cause i really like Rance so far - That being said, i really expect to one day be writing reviews, learning jp and making friends that enjoys VN's just as myself. I am currently playing Ikazuchi no Senshi Raidy and it's really cool so far, probably will talk about it in the future... That's it, hope i can dive in ever more further with the help of this forum in this wonderful world. By the way, to the one's who read till here, how much you usually expends on this universe? I really like physical stuff's to collect and all that, altough i am a medium class in a poor country (Brazil), i was really thinking in buying the Ikazuchi no Senshi Raidy Limited Edition III but it kinda cost's a fourtune for me xD. LostPomegranate Posted Friday at 05:18 PM Posted Friday at 05:18 PM I've spent quite a lot on VN's, somewhere in the range of 10k USD in the past two years, almost entirely on the games themselves, some of which I have bought physical versions of, but nearly no merchandise. The good news for you being in Brazil at least is that Steam and JAST at least - I'm unsure about Denpasoft and MangaGamer - have regional pricing, so the pricing will be more appropriate for you. The bad news is that anything you want that is only available in Japan is going to feel a lot more expensive to you, so stuff like fan translations and reading in Japanese is going to be rough. Also, not everyone is going to vibe with everything that is out for visual novels, and that's fine. I'd recommend going on vndb.org, creating an account, and looking up some stuff by tags to see what else you may like. You can even sort down by only those available in English for instance. There's 10 mainline Rance games for instance (10 is still being worked on), so there's quite a lot just in that series. We also have a recommendations forum if you wanted to ask for recommendations once you get a better feel for it, cause right now the recommendations based off just Rance and Katawa Shoujo would be immense. Anyway, thanks for joining the community, and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or anything, I hope you enjoy your stay. Raidy 1 Quote

I envy you xD I didn't now about JAST, that's a huge relief, thank you. Well, i am soon going to start gaining a little more money so hopefully everything will be alright, i also need to start learning JP for that but i am gonna take it slow for now. Already created an acc on VNDB, though the layout seens weird at first (to me at least). Alright, thank you again for answering me; i'm trynna be active in here as well, see you.
