elliesutcliff Posted Sunday at 11:01 AM Posted Sunday at 11:01 AM (edited) Hello, visual novel fans, I'm asking for your help I'm preparing to write a graduation project on a topic related to the evaluation of VN and I'm collecting statistics regarding different people's views on various individual elements of such games. Here is anonymous google form where there are questions on different components of VN. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjHJhUGkZrTzspSEwco3ApooYizUOU7Zm_lR8OMMw1Kgsi8Q/viewform?usp=sharing I'd really appreciate it if someone could take five minutes to give honest answers to the questions there. Your participation will determine the results of my research. Thank you very much in advance to everyone who responded! Edited Sunday at 11:01 AM by elliesutcliff Quote

Kirashi Posted Sunday at 03:13 PM Posted Sunday at 03:13 PM I tried answering until I realize I am unable to answer some question, either because I am not sure about the meaning of the question either because I am not familiar with the wording, either because I am unsure about the nuance with the question previously asked, I think you should either give a small description or a few examples to help people when such questions arise masster_auron 1 Quote
Clephas Posted Monday at 07:08 AM Posted Monday at 07:08 AM Umm... just to be clear, it was apparent that some of the questions were not really a good fit, since there is no gameplay in a straight visual novel except clicking and making choices... Also, I think most people who have played an AI-generated VN will say they produce nothing but trash *winces at the bad memories* Asking about non-universal (or at least uncommon) features as part of a survey about the importance of certain features will probably only confuse any results you receive... kushidadousaku 1 Quote

I personally understand what I wanted to say and can't know how clear the wording of the question is for someone else Quote

Yes, I realize that many people won't give high scores to AI ( and I can already see that from the responses available). But even so, I'll get some conclusions regarding it. My instructor says that raising the issue of AI in my project will be a plus, because it's a hot topic today. And I also wanted to take into account any possible features of VN in the survey, including non-universal. Thanks for being concerned about the quality of the results. I have a plan on how to use them and hope I'll be able to fulfill it and not get confused by the variety of them Quote
