Nagisa_Fawkes Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Well, as long as it's finished this year and the project is not abandoned, yes I am very happy. Quote
zerovirtue99 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I'm surprised no one has questioned there being a Dave route in the game. Because I'm questioning it. What/why is the Dave route? The only Dave I remember was the one on Amazing Animals (if anyone remembers that from Makina's route, I think). Also, is Meikyuu/Rakuen a sequel or does it just delve into Yuuji's past? I've heard different things, so I was wondering which one it was. Quote
Kynbound Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I consider them sequels of sorts even though meikyuu is more focused on yuuji past. As for the Dave route i think thats just extras. Quote

Izuru Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Yuuji's Past Is Interesting Im Looking Forward To It ^^ Quote
Berilium Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'm excited for this second part but i know this ends in a cliffhanger and i will have to kill myself after it T-T I have no regrets! Quote
Freestyle80 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 still worth reading unless u wanna wait till 2016? Quote

When you start a new game, you're given the option of viewing one of the many scenarios - you have the continuations of all the heroines' routes from Kajitsu, then you have the Grand route, which continues directly where Kajitsu left off, only assuming that Yuuji didn't involve himself with any of the heroines on a personal level. This is the route that deals with his past and the main part of Meikyuu. Then there is a collection of H-scenes featuring mostly side-characters, which is the "Dave route" you thought of; its just named after him as a parody of a TV channel. Lastly, there's a collection of short funny stories. I've only played a bit of everything in Meikyuu since I'm saving it for later, but I think that's all it has to offer - no idea how Rakuen works, though! Quote

Just because the lengths are similar. Thanks for clearing up the Dave confusion, I got a little scared. Not that I have anything against Dave. He's cool. Probably. Quote
Berilium Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 And the fact that Kasuki is going to appear in this game rises my hype over 9000! I practically fell in love with her in the firt game. She has an unique personality and charms if you know what i mean e.e Being serious: she is an interesting character and i'm looking forward for her appearance and her hilarious dialogues. I hope i wrote that right. Quote
douggle Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 I am not sure if you guys are aware but koestl has said there will be a delay in the Meikyuu translation because he got commissioned by JAST for an offical project. Quote
Decay Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 koestle hasn't mentioned anything about it being JAST. But yes, he was hired to do an official localization by *someone* for "a really cool visual novel from a really cool company". Quote
Freestyle80 Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 it'd be weird to localize the 2nd one suddenly Quote
Decay Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 It's a different game. That's why Meikyuu is being delayed. Quote
Freestyle80 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 ah different game? Bleh that seriously sucks,so now gotta wait 2-3 more years for the 2nd and then the 3rd release? ._. by that time i might have finished learning the language xD Quote
Decay Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 My speculation: Koestl will translate one or more of Liar-Soft's steampunk games, perhaps starting with Sekien no Ingarock. MangaGamer has strongly hinted at them getting a license to translate L-S's steampunk series, and just last week they tweeted that they have a new translator who just recieved materials from one of their "new partners". Also Koestle has recently tweeted about rereading Ingarock in japanese and badmouthed Amaterasu's translation. Also, the language Koestle used in his tweets announcing his new gig and the Meikyuu delay implied that he might be working on a game that's already fan translated (he went out of his way to call this an official release). The upside to this being an already translated game is that it's also rather short and he's a very fast translator. So he might be done with it before you know it. They might also go whole hog and have him translate the entire "what a beautiful" franchise, including the games not already translated. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this. Quote
Berilium Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I'll take you on that one. I would believe anything to gather my hopes up ._./ Quote
Freestyle80 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Sekien no Ingarock....why lol its not even that good and it already has a TL i havent read it too much but the TL wasnt that bad,not bad enough to re-TL it atleast hopefully a worthwhile VN gets a TL/official release and not this Quote
Wahfuu Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 The TL of Inganock is pretty horrendous, considering the uniqueness of the source material. Quote
syfjhz22 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 It's a good thing someone spoiled me. Oh wait... 3rd game is the best in my opinion. Very Hollywood-esque. +1 Even though 3rd game is harem, but I really really like it...XDDD Quote
Bolverk Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 +1 Because the 3rd game is harem, I ended up linking the game even more...XDDD There I fixed it for you And yeah I agree Rakuen is better than Meikyuu. It has hollywood like feel. But honestly that's just what we all wanted really deep in our hearts heheh. Quote
Freestyle80 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 all 3 of the series are awesome one of the rare trios Quote
