grim_tales1 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Has Uchikoshi tweeted anything recently? I think I remember him saying if his new game (the "sexual comedy"?) did well he could reconsider ZE3. Until then I dont think we can do all that much... Quote
hussien-11 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 You are not the first to think so my friend. However, Uchikoshi said somewhere, I think, that "the idea was not persuasive enough" or something along those lines. If we knew VLR's budget, we could've made an assumption. However, we don't. I think it won't work, the budget is probably too high for a kickstarter campaign. Quote
SanadaShadow Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 ...Sexual comedy? Is he trying to pick up the pieces or helping what's left of them to fall down? Quote
Funyarinpa Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 ...Sexual comedy? Is he trying to pick up the pieces or helping what's left of them to fall down? It is not related in any way to ZE. Quote
SanadaShadow Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 It is not related in any way to ZE. That is not what I meant and you know it isn't. Sexual comedy rarely goes well. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 That is not what I meant and you know it isn't. Sexual comedy rarely goes well. I heard that he was the main writer(not sure)... Quote
SanadaShadow Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I really don't think the game he's trying is going to go well. Though that may be because I hate H-games. Quote
grim_tales1 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I cant remember the exact details but I'm sure he said it would be a "sexual comedy set to a science fiction suspense fantasy". "Sci Fi suspense fantasy" sounds a bit Zero Escape-ish even though "sexual comedy" does not. http://gematsu.com/2014/04/famitsu-feature-truth-rumors-2014 Scroll down to No.24 Quote
SanadaShadow Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Oh, this is definitely going to be a disaster in the sexual areas. Quote
AceAttorney Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Someone told me that "sexual comedy" is just a weird mistranslation of "eroge." Not sure if there is any truth to that though. Quote
SanadaShadow Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Someone told me that "sexual comedy" is just a weird mistranslation of "eroge." Not sure if there is any truth to that though. Eroge is just the 'sexual' part. Pretty sure comedy is another word entirely. On a side note, I'm guessing you might be an Ace Attorney fan? Quote
grim_tales1 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Maybe something was lost in translation and he just means he'll have some pervy dude in it a la Sigma or the sex jokes in 999? Quote
SanadaShadow Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 At least Sigma wasn't a rapist. I feel, the way it's going with the Zero Escape series, the next one might be. Quote
