The Major Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 4 in one day is my limit. I usually watch 2-3 in a day for a show I like. I think the only exception is when I watched Usagi Drop (11 eps) over two days Quote
Tom Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 i was always extreme about those things. years ago i used to watch anime alot, when i did it was atleast 10 episodes a day Quote
Eldin Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 the entirety of full metal alchemist: brotherhood. Quote
DeadIEnd Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I believe I once watched like 60-70 airing anime episodes in a day and continued to a day afer in the weekend after I didn't have Internet for a long time. Holy shit, that was so tiring that after it I slept for 18 hours straight. Quote
Oxidian Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 watched toradora straight a couple of times now since it' my favorite, once shuffle and basquash too and maybe something else. and 20 straight episodes of precure Quote
InvertMouse Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 At the start of every new anime season, I usually try and watch as many as I can and judge each one. I often save them for Friday nights so I can find myself watching 8 episodes in a row or more . Â A few years ago, I was on holidays for a month. After I came back, I also burned through a ton of backlog episodes through the weekend. Probably watched for four or so hours straight in one afternoon B). Quote
sparealias Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 the entirety of full metal alchemist: brotherhood. Â Just recently did that (although I did sleep a bit so you could consider it two sittings.) Quote
meru Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Wow, some of you have some insane stamina XD I remember binge-watching Naruto back in the day, but the most was probably 10-15 eps per day, which isn't that much really! Now I don't have time for anime marathons  Quote
ryuzero1992 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 as long as there is minutes left in a day i can keep watching anime Quote
AqworldThunder Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I watched almost the entirety of the original Gintama in one sitting (well I moved to get food/drink). I watched around 150 episodes...  I watched Code Geass, GTO, When They Cry, .hack series and Bakuman all in one sitting also. It's somewhat common for me to marathon over weekends or long breaks. Quote
Guest hairybumslapper Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Longest I watched anime was 48 hours straight. I think I finished around 5 or 6 different anime seasons that time. - I had the biggest migraine/headache afterwards though. Quote
Eldin Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Wow, some of you have some insane stamina XD I remember binge-watching Naruto back in the day, but the most was probably 10-15 eps per day, which isn't that much really! Now I don't have time for anime marathons at the end of each season I go back and pick up all of the anime I dropped and marathon them. I have nothing better to do with my days off, and I can finish a 12 episode length series in a little under 4 hours (I generally skip opening and ending credits after hearing them the first time). I usually go for 4 complete series per day when I do that. sometimes stuff happens and I only get through 3, sometimes I feel like sleep is for [insert opposite gender here] and pull 5-6. Â I could probably use a more constructive hobby. Quote
Soradragoon Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 My longest anime festival guess it was when I saw Evangelion and their films in one day. My brain nearly melted, but it was fun xD. Quote
roninmedia Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I've finished some series that have been 24-26 episodes in one sitting on the couch excluding bathroom breaks and a stop into the kitchen to make food to eat while watching. Quote
Sainthrax Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 My record would probably be Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes). I watched this thing in two days, I basically skipped sleep, that's how addictive and gripping the story was. Quote
krofna Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Whole Another (12 episodes) in single day. It's one of those anime you just can't stop watching. Quote
Helvinek Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Hyouka>Kokoro Connect>Ano Natsu de Matteru!>Usagi Drop. All straight through. Well technically not straight through, there are a few breaks like eating etc. Oh and a thing called a "victory cigar" after one series. B)  I rarely do anime marathons nowadays. I just read VNs now and some other stuff. I download animes but I rarely watch them. I don't know why I do that to be honest. Quote
Yokodera Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 the anime that i watched like this was Gantz i watched it from 22:00 to 7:30 in the morning, the whole night and i regret it because the ending is SH*T!!!! aaaaarrrggghhh i hate it... Quote
Stanleys Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Back in my beginning days of watching anime I would to some pretty major feats. I remember there was one time when I was watching One Piece where I would be watching 20-30 episodes a day for two weeks straight. I don't usually do that anymorethough, unless I'm really into it like what happened last night. Watched the entire first season of Black Lagoon in just a couple hours. Quote
FruitsPunchSamurai Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Remember using one of my vacation weeks to watch the entire 175 episodes + ovas of Fairy Tail, that was a blast. Also watched the entire series of Mirai Nikki in one go even though it wasn't great, it had addicting openings. Quote
Mikel Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 The longest I've watched anime is a 16 chapters anime. At the beginning i was like: Okay, one more, okay, one more... and when I was half way through I said, wtf, I'm gonna finish it  I've done that a few times, but I usually do that with 12 chapters animes Quote
Schnarf Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I watched both seasons of Code Geass in a couple of days Quote
zoom909 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I don't really like marathons.  -The longest I ever watched one show was Kurau Phantom Memory (1st 18 episodes). Not my idea, but I didn't mind because it was a really engaging show and anime was still kind of new to me at that point.  -The 2nd longest was about half of Excel Saga. Again, not my idea. It didn't help matters that to me, it's the kind of show that should be taken in small doses.  -Normally by myself, average 4 episodes a day. Usually only two different shows at a time.  -Once a week with friends, a block of around 6 hours of anime watching. But, as an unwritten rule, never more than 5 episodes of the same show at a time. Quote
Hooves Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 One moment that I recall is one that I'll never repeat again. It was around the time I marathon'd 61 Bleach episodes. By the end of the 61st episode, I was about to pass out. Quote
Clephas Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I watched the entire Rurouni Kenshin series from episode 1-95 in a single sitting. My joints were stiff, I ran out of water bottles, and my snack boxes were empty by the time it was over. I also fell asleep sitting up within ten minutes of the last episode's end. I did something similar for Kyo Kara Maou, lol Quote
