arakura Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 So, here's the deal guys... I like sandwiches as much as the next waffle, but I realize that I don't really eat them much anymore. A few days ago, though, at my dorm cafeteria I decided to get a sandwich. And then I was blown away. I got a turkey sandwich (white bread cause I like bland generic stuff, but I might go whole wheat sometime soon or something... I've heard enough anti-white-bread hate from like... everyone I know...), with american cheese, green peppers, tomatoes, chipotle sauce, lettuce, and then toasted it. It was pretty great, except next time I wont do the tomatoes... they dont really work (too mooshy and sweet) But I know how much everyone loves stuff and bread, so here I am with the (hopefully?) first (and probably last) official "Sandwich Contemplation Thread" where we share fond memories of many sammiches had and offer suggestions to those of us who have many sandwiches to go before reaching sandwichprenneurship. Or maybe people dont like sandwiches as much as I am hoping, but we'll see, hehe :3 Quote

Nosebleed Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Silly people, toasts surpass sandwiches anytime! Toasts provide you with warmth against the coldness of the world we live in. They go well in every occasion. I've eaten so many toasts i started despising normal bread. I can even eat plain bread as long as it's toasted. Quote
Aniki Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 And then I was blown away. I got a turkey sandwich. ... There's nothing special about a turkish sandwich. Much less a turkey sandwich. GKats12394 1 Quote

I beg of you) Quote
Yukiru Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Sandwiches are avid readers' best friends, I usually (always) postpone my meal with a sandwich and eat a properly meal once I'm done with my reading. Also cereal is so easy it's delicious, I'll go make a cereal thread right aw... wait a second... there's already one! arakura 1 Quote

Nosebleed Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 It won't take long until there's a thread for every kind of food. Just imagine how thrilling the "octopus appreciation thread" would be Quote

Lewycool Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 This isn't really a memory but, sometimes, when I'm hungry, I use chocolate nutella spread as the butter. Just like I did tonight with some beef paste. >:3 Nom Nom Nom Quote
MellowMadman11 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I for one love this thread. I think my favorite sandwich is a ground beef sandwich. It's made by grinding up roast beef and sticking it together with miracle whip, I put it on white or wheat bread with some sliced pickles. I second this octopus appreciation thread by the way. Quote
GKats12394 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 My favorite sandwich is the infamous breakfast sandwich. Bacon Egg and Cheese on a bagel. Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng. <3 krill 1 Quote
Nagisa_Fawkes Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Actually that's one of the few good things of the country I live in right now. While I find fast food sandwiches like Mc Donald's and Burger King tasteless, here you can easily find a sandwich stand on the street, and most of them make delicious sandwiches double the size of Mc Donald's and half the price. exreizu Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 When I'm hungry and too lazy to cook or buy fast food, I make my favorite sandwich: sliced bread with chocolate Nutella and crunchy Skippy filling. krill 1 Quote
