Mangakas don't really make a lot of money. Maybe a shounen Jump one makes a bit more than your typical mangaka, but even so it's not an exaggerated amount.

I guess another key difference between Oreimo and Nisekoi is that Oreimo took itself a bit more seriously. Nisekoi kind of has charm to it for not taking itself so seriously which is why I don't really mind if progress is slow for character development.

hahaha but thats exactly how it is in 95% of all animes i watched, where guys & girls even blush when they´re breathing the same air. i´m considering rl the other way round...maybee its due my hungarian heritage, bit too liberal when it comes to sexuality

I might watch a few random episodes of it once it ends.

I'm pretty similar in my tastes, if I've read a manga I usually dont watch the anime unless it diverts from the manga plot line.

I'm no expert, but in most cases I believe it is.

 

I'm almost positive Shinmai will get an uncensored BD. It's basically the only reason the show is airing in the first place, and fans will rage if it doesn't.

 

So far, Nisekoi is the only anime I've seen where the BD is actually more censored than the TV broadcast.

Indeed, Nisekoi is the only anime that i've ever seen censor its blu-rays.

To be fair, most of Nisekoi is not really ecchi so there's nothing to censor.

But that hot springs episode is horribly censored.

Shinmai Maou is coming out uncensored in the blu-rays of course, there's nothing nuch to the series besides that to begin with.

Most fanservice in the Nisekoi anime revolves around dodgy camera shots and excessively long focus shots of certain areas (seriously though, there was a shot in season one where the camera lingered on a girl's breasts for 8 seconds flat, I timed it)

I haven't watched any of the anime yet, but based on the manga, aside from a few scene's, there's really not much to censor.

But from the screenshots I've seen, it looks like they overly censor those scenes, even in the blu-rays.

 

I've never heard of anyone timing something like that... but that's still a long time.
