I'm trying to find a way to read it raw, because I'm running out of patience to wait one week everytime!

Having some trouble though, the only way I could find was download the whole latest edition of the Shounen Jump magazine xD

...this is weird. The chapter on the latest Shounen Jump is 165, the date of the magazine is the 6th of April.

But the date that chapter was uploaded to the manga site I use was the 4th of April... how the...0_o

I'm not completely sure about this, but I've heard that some translators get their hands on early releases. I don't know how though if it's true.

 

As for the chapter, my only though was "Here we go again."

Fan theory on why Marika could be the promise girl:

To start with what we know. Marika's the only girl that remembers an engagement.

Marika's health is poor and in the manga Honda and Mikage had discussed it somewhat seriously.

In chapter 142, Marika was writing her will, or making drafts.

Now, there's no solid evidence, but what if the author is foreshadowing the rest of the story?

In chapter 164, we got to see more into the story book. The engraved rings is what caught most of the attention, but I believe the princess' death is more important. The death of the promised princess maybe hinting that Marika(the promised girl) will die.

If this is true, this would be an amazing emotional twist. It would also somewhat release the whole notion that Raku must prioritize the promise.

I would seriously cry my eyes out so hard.

 

Marika is like the light in Nisekoi for me. If she disappears...God, I don't even want to think about it.

I don't know, Nisekoi doesn't feel like the kind of manga that'll kill off a characters like that. At least, I'm hoping its not.

You know the pendants going to be fine and some Deus EX Machina is going to go down between Onodera+Raku next chapter, and we're going to go back to square 1 again. It happened to Chitoge last arc.

That's what we're all expecting to happen but what none of us are hoping happens.

I was really hoping that this would finally make Raku move on from the pendant and freaking realize it shouldn't influence his romantic life, it really makes him super shallow when he goes "I'll only confess to her if she's the promise girl", like, seriously? 

 

I know the likelyhood of the status quo returning is over 9000, but I really wish they finally got their heads straight.

 

Anyway.

 

Hana Kirisaki design and voice actress revealed!

She'll be voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi (also voiced Winry from FMA, Nami from One Piece and Hikari/Dawn from Pokemon)
