Yes, Marika deserves the most praise in this entire series and she's the character I most love and respect because of it.

I absolutely hate when other characters brush her off as creepy/annoying when she tries so hard and is really cute too  :(

 

One time I liked Raku was when he aknowledged Marika's chocolate statue for him, that was nice (even if he was initially creeped out)

 

But people really need to pay more attention to her!

I understand that side, but if everyone in the series paid more attention to her she wouldn't have to try so hard :P

Though, to be honest, what I like about her is how she tries hard to show her love instead of playing hard to get.

 

But when Marika is actually confronted by Raku, her deredere side comes out.

There is no way a sane human being can resist bashful Marika.

 

Just the thought of rewarding her hard effort with attention and her reverting to deredere mode.

My heart.. can't handle..

Thats pretty cute, IF ONLY I HADN'T USED UP ALL MY LIKES TODAY :(. Sadly I cant give it the proper attention it deserves.

But yeah, I forgot that Marika does go deredere(That only happened once so I forgot)

But Marika getting the attention she wants and going deredere, Hmm I'm actually very interested.

Sir you might have just made me switch from Tsumugi + Kosaki to Tsumugi + Marika.

It's never too late to look back on a character and appreciate it more than you did initially.

I'm just glad that some people can come to terms with Marika and appreciate her a little more.

On that note, the only way I can see this ending is either Chitoge or Kosaki winning.

I'll be super pissed if this end with Raku not choosing anyone. I loathe those open endings more than anything.  :conspiracy:

Yeah, I'm well aware of Jump's, or rather manga's history regarding its romcom series, so I never expect too much. Also, 9 times out of 10, my favorite character usually loses in the end.

 

I've also read the Nisekoi one-shot, that's what got me to read the series in the first place. It's been a while, so I don't really remember it too much though.

 

I learned early on not to put too much hope in romcoms, much less so in harem series. So any ending wouldn't really surprise or disappoint me.

Thats why we play Vns, because there is for sure a chance that our favourite characters will get together.

Yeah, endings that have the MC chosing no none are just...

P.S. Probably not a good idea to post on a forum at 3 in the morning, but whatever.

 

Seriously though, half of the VN's I play (totally not exaggerating at all :yumiko: ) don't even have my favorite character as a heroine at all.

 

Now, before we derail this any further...

The manga gets axed  :upupu:

 

Any thoughts on the reason why they don't have to pretend anymore?

Anyway, you play VNs but don't have a favourite character? The only way I would see myself not having a favourite character would be if it was purely an eroge like a really nukige VN with minimum focus on characters and letting them stay flat + static.

There seems to be plot development in the last couple chapters, or at the very least we seem to be entering a big arc that will lead to character development.

I can't confirm this 100% without the next chapter though.

Also, I love Marika and how she strives to get Raku's love.

It's just that the mangaka's too cruel. Not making Raku acknowledge her efforts...

I'm really interested in seeing more Marika development, particularly what's up with her health (though that kind of worries me too).
