The mangaka hasn't really shown much of that in the storyline...

Its only been recently I think that I saw stuff about her health.

Nisekoi OVA 2 has been subbed: [no linking or mentioning torrent sites]

 

And guess what, they adapted one of Marika's chapters for the first half!

(Chapters adapted were chapter 71 for the first half and chapter 65 for the second half)

 

I'm so happy now, Maid Marika is adorable.

I like when she reverts back to speaking in Kansai-ben too, though in this case it was for all the wrong reasons.

 

But after all the comotion she once again brings out her womanly charms. You can't deny she would make a great wife.

All that hard work just for the person she likes, that's true dedication.

Second part was also pretty fun, I liked the chapter where they got all drunk, pretty hilarious.

Anime/Manga characters really have super low tolerance for alcohol, a real life whisky bonbon can't get anyone crazy drunk (not to mention the taste, most people would notice it instantly, I remember when I tried one and almost puked).

 

I love how Raku just stands there watching Onodera trying to take her clothes off. 

His good guy charm really shows there

 

Overall, fun OVA, no plot but doesn't matter.

 

A 3rd OVA will be released on April 3rd and the Anime's second season will probably air after (or not since Haru is in the 3rd OVA)

The 3rd OVA will cover chapter 81 which was the bath house one (gotta get that fanservice animated)

So far they only have material to make a second season.

 

They're making OVAs to sort of "fill in" the gap between chapter 51 (ending of season 1) and the (likely) beginning of season 2 which should be around chapter 75 when Haru comes in.

 

Assuming season 2 will be 20 episodes like season 1, you can expect it to adapt about 50 chapters

 

If my calculations are correct, season 2 will end around chapter 134 which is the ending of the Beauty Contest arc and basically the 3rd of Haru's major arcs (and a major arc overall).

I say this because Haru is likely going to become the main heroine in this second season so it only makes sense to end it on this note.

This also means  the anime can actually insert Yui in the picture (Yui comes in on chapter 118)

 

After that there'll only be 30 or so chapters out so they can't make another 20 episode series.

But chapters for Nisekoi are still coming out, so by the time season 2 is finished I'm thinking that there will be enough material for a season 3. 

Plus if the reviews are good the producers will most likely run a season 3.

And what was the amnesia arc about? Cos first thing I thought was the 3 chapters about Raku losing his memory. That isn't really too important I think?

I just checked the chapters, the amnesia arc is in chapter 80 something so it would be included in season 2.

 

And it's an arc where Raku remembers stuff from the past.

They also find a book that tells the story of the keys and stuff which is basically foreshadowing for the 4th key.

 

And they won't annouce a season 3 until they have sales.

 

Also there's a huge gap between season 1 and 2 because of the amount of filler chapters, and the same would be applied to season 2 and 3.

After the beauty contest arc there has been virtually only filler chapters which they're not going to adapt all of most likely, hence why I'm saying they'll wait around before jumping the gun and making a season 3 since there's nothing to conclude yet.

 

Of course, by the time season 2 ends there may be something, I don't know the future of the manga after all, but so far there's not enough material for a proper season 3.

 

But don't get this wrong, i wholeheatedly believe there'll be a season 3, it's just very likely given the popularity, but it won't be announced for a while.

Ahh that Arc, yeah I remember now.

Due to Raku forgetting everything they search through stuff to try and get him to remember, by doing that they find the picture book which has the 4 girls with keys, etc.

Would the Yui-Nee arc be included in season 2 you think? They might just exclude her from season 2 and save it up for 3. 

But then Yui-Nee arc doesn't give too much detail about the whole Key Mystery either.

This is probably the problem of adapting a manga with too many filler chapters

Yeah, but the fact that she was introduced so late in the Manga means that either

 

1.She isn't really someone that important

 

or 

 

2. The Manga is expected to go for a long amount of time, over 300 chapters. 

 

Cos introducing a new "main" character like at chapter 118 seems to be a rushed decision to me

The 300 chapter thing is a possibility, given the amount of filler arcs to story arcs.

 

Though it's not that scary. I'd still read it. It's fun.

That, and you should never take anything I say on here too seriously.

I've accepted the filler as part of Nisekoi already so it's not that I hate it or believe it shouldn't be there.

That's because most filler chapters are pretty fun so it's not like they're ruining the experience, Nisekoi is all about the comedy and the cliches.

 

But sometimes I do really wish they would progress the plot a little, that's all.

Chapter 157

 

PLOT ALERT!!!!!

They actually brought up a situation related to the main plot!!!!

Mind = Blown

 

The transfer thing was pretty normal, I thought there'd be some huge thing happening, but at the same time this actually feels more natural this way. But what I liked the most was that it relates to the main storyline and dates back to the begining of Nisekoi.

Jesus Christ was this a breath of fresh air.

 

But what's more is that things didn't get solved this chapter, and that ending with Raku looking at the locket, finally, FINALLY Locket-chan appeard!

 

A lot of tension right now, this could actually turn really big.

At the very least it could lead to Raku realizing his feelings for Chitoge.

 

I'm trying to keep my hopes down low, but this could go in many directions right now.

 

Also one major thing was this line at the end:

"As the roads start to close off, their hearts waver"

 

This really feels like it's leading to a conclusion in my opinion.

 

But, assuming it's not concluding any time soon.

What I think is this is just a temporary thing and they'll go back to being fake lovers again through the power of the love comedy god as if nothing happened (like conflict between the two groups rising again or Chitoge's dad having more stuff to do in Japan or something to keep her in Japan).

But I'm hoping they'll deliver more alongside that, particularly either something related to the locket or at least Raku realizing his feelings or just some general character development.

 

Well, this was something at the very least. And now we're left hanging for another week.

 

I can't lie though, I also reacted like this at the beginning (for those who don't know I'm not super fond of Chitoge)

I doubt they're gonna end Nisekoi anytime soon.(Theres too much hype about it)

As NB said they're most likely gonna somehow find a way to turn this back to where it was before Chp 157.

Probably with everyone working together to help Chitoge, etc, maybe Raku deciding to help with Chitoge's protection. 

However, I would still like the plot to progress a bit. For example, testing one of the keys out, etc.

Actually, wasn't Raku going to get his locket fixed? Why hasn't that happened yet?
