Twelveseal Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Game: Kamidori Alchemy Meister App Locale: Japanese Description: The game becomes unresponsive temporarily while attempting to load scripts, then freezes. This is a recent problem that cropped up after not having played the game for an extended period. OS: Windows 7 Bit: 64 Tried: Run as Admin. I know, I haven't tried much. This is just a massive game that takes forever to download, install, etc... I've at least checked to make sure I still meet the Sys Reqs, which I do. From Fuwa: Nope. Got this thing off Eroge Downloads a while back. Basically, I installed the game and its expansions in the proper order, and it ran appropriately. I decided to take a break from it for a while and recently decided to come back to it. However, when I started the game, I got a popup I don't recognize in Japanese: http://s1033.photobucket.com/user/Twelveseal/media/KamidoriPopUp_zps4e056b76.png.html I have no idea this tells me what's wrong or not. Anyway, if I click Yes it sends me to some Japanese options menu that looks like it deals with the game properties. No just makes it run as I've already had it setup. Since I can't read my options, I have no idea what impact they'd have, I just know that it has several tabs of them. Anyway, once the game runs, it lags and becomes unresponsive when trying to load the Opening from the Eushully logo, sometimes requiring me to load Task Manager to get the damn thing to close. Assuming it doesn't freeze completely and I wait long enough, it does the same loading the title screen, and while it runs fine from the title screen and readily plays through a non-interactive event that I happened to have not done yet, if I try to make any changes to my character's equipment, clothes, skills, and the like, it becomes unresponsive for minutes per change. If I take the characters into the field and try to actually play the game, it becomes indefinitely unresponsive the second they actually interact with something, forcing me to close the game, usually through Task Manager. That said, the music continues as normal, and the sound effects are only relatively slowed while this error occurs. As of yet, the game has not given me an actual error message. I'd appreciate your input on this. I've already asked a bit in my own circle, and no one's seen this particular issue yet, so I thought I'd drop by here. At first I thought it was just that I'd run out of sufficient space on the comp, but that doesn't seem to be the case, and considering it's played well up to Chapter 6, I'm wondering why it suddenly decided to have this particular breakdown. Okami Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 My guess is that some files goten corrupted, try copy/pasteing you save file on the desktop, then reinstall a game copy your save file back where it was and try running it again. (You can reinstall a game even without copying a save file, but it is probably safer to back up save before it). If that doesn't help then some app is blocking it, in that case close process that you installed on your PC recently (after the last time that game worked normaly) Quote

jeftai Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 go to options. go to animations for battle/other animations. uncheck those make sure there off. they make your game crash no idea why but this solution worked for me. Quote
