MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'm not very tech savvy. I tried to use emulator and play DR but it wouldn't interact with anything and I couldn't find the atact to enable maybe I didn't download the update right? Could someone very carefully and slowly explain how to make DR work? I'll have to redownload ppssp again cuz in my frustation I just quit cold turky... Rash I know.. Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) I'm not sure I understand your problem. To get Danganronpa to work on PPSSPP just open PPSSPP Go to file > Load > Choose the Danganronpa ISO file And that's it. It should start emulating right away. Edited April 11, 2014 by Nosebleed It's "Load" not "Open Directory" my bad~ Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Another PPSSPP Method: 1) Download the last version at http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/ 2) Run PPSSPP, settings, audio and download the atrac+ plugin. make sure its enabled. 3) Go to settings, graphics and enable "Read Framebuffers to Memory (CPU)" 4) Reset PPSSPP and enjoy... That what it says to do so the cursor interacts but I couldn't find this atrac+ plugin and when I put Framebuffer to read cpu it just crashes.. Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 That what it says to do so the cursor interacts but I couldn't find this atrac+ plugin and when I put Framebuffer to read cpu it just crashes.. I couldn't find that atrac+ plugin either. I'm pretty sure if you can just run it normally. Did you try running it normally or did you encounter any problem? And that framebuffer thing is regarding the ppsspp.ini file not the ppsspp settings Edit: I dug into it now. The atrac+ plugin was something for older PPSSPP builds. Builds after 9.5 have this plugin built in so you don't need it anymore. We should probably update that on the main site. Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Like I said I'm incredibly ignorant on this sorta thing but DRAMAtical Murder and Dangan Ronpa are so cool I didn't wanna wait to buy a vita or hope DMM gets ported. I ran it it works fine graphics are not shoddy at all but the cursor won't interact with stuff and that's kinda important as its a detective game. Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Open your ppsspp.ini file It should be under memstick > psp > system > ppsspp.ini Do the following changes: Set: - FramebuffersToMem = "False" to "true" - FramebuffersCPUConvert = "False" to "true"- Save the changes and restart the PPSSPP- Start the game Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 I'll download it again and try that um.. how do I restart psp emulator? Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'll download it again and try that um.. how do I restart psp emulator? Just close it and open it again. Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Hmm It doesn't seem to have Framebuffer in the coding hmm maybe I gotta download VC 2013? And Latest version? Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 You're right it doesn't have framebuffer indeed (I just checked myself) I'm going to guess this FAQ was made for older builds of PPSSPP. This really doesn't help if all the troubleshooting is outdated. Your problem was that you couldn't interact with anything right? Even with the latest build? (v9. And yes you should download that if the PPSSPP website tells you it's required. Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Well maybe downloading this will slove problem but when I downloaded it yesterday I couldn't use the cursor(it moved but wouldn't lock on to interactive things) I'm sorry about troubling you. Quote
Yukiru Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 There's a solution within the forums. Link That should help. Quote
Nosebleed Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 There's a solution within the forums. Link That should help. That helps. You should probably use this for help. And someone needs to update the troubleshooting section for newer PPSSPP builds. Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Sixty four? My torrent says 32 maybe I don't have a high enough pc to bother with an emulator? Quote
Yukiru Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Well, I just noticed my torrent also says that... Anyway, here if your PC is windows 7, if it isn't just look how to check out whether your PC runs with 32 or 64 bits with whatever PC you may have in google. You might get more problems in the future though. Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Hmm I musta accidently broke it cuz it just crashes... I'll try redownloading it if that doesn't work I guess I'm screwed and is too ignorant to make anything work... Quote
Yukiru Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Probably just your computer. Hmm... open your task manager(Ctrl-Shift-Esc) to see if your computer can actually run the emulator without being a wimp. Quote
MagiWolf Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Meh I give up I'll just buy it in english I'd need someone here with me personally to do this sorta thing... Quote
Funyarinpa Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 And these issues are exactly why I gave in and watched the anime. Quote
Sakimichi Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 And these issues are exactly why I gave in and watched the anime. You could actually buy a psp for $30-$50 in a pawnshop. It's second hand but it works just fine with no issues at all. There's lots of second hand psp here in our country, mainly because PSP is loosing it's popularity here and there's PSV. Quote
