Cyrillej1 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I think it might be hard to have a true platonic friendship if either one finds the other 'attractive'/date-able. Then add feelings of closeness, and it's bound to make one or the other think of possibilities (unless for some reason, it can't happen, ex: already in a relationship, not right time to get involved, etc). I think a friendship between a boy-girl is possible, but either you never find each other attractive enough in the first place to be date-able and stays that way, or later on own up to the feelings of attraction but choose to move past it so you can maintain the friendship the way it is. Cyrillej1 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 In my experience it's easy to be friends with a girl if you hold romantic feelings for someone else. I think that sounds right. When I was a kid, as a female growing up around a bunch of boys, they always told me to be careful of guys trying to become my friend. They said, a guy usually becomes friends with a girl because they have some kind of interest in them. Of course, I shrugged it off and didn't listen because I believed a boy and girl could have platonic friendships. After more experience, however, it almost rings a little true... I think it's easier to stay friends as boy-girl if one or the other already has a reason not to pursue each other. Otherwise, romantic feelings may eventually creep up once you become closer friends. *Cough* *Cough* My favorite classmate just happens to be a girl, so yeah, no sexual relationships between opposites genders do exist. I don't have such a feelings for 3D to begin with, but if I had to use a 2D example then, Misaka Mikoto is one of my favorite female characters but I have no sexual interest in her. Oh my gosh... I love your avatar. The green hair and red eyes, soooo cool & pretty! Quote
