grim_tales1 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hey, I was wondering about this because today in Drama class we had to act out a scenario of a random group of people who wake up in an unfamilliar place, don't know where they are, can't escape, and don't know who each other are This was quite hard to do in some ways but made me smile as it honestly was rather like the setup for quite a few VNs (Ever 17, 999 etc) I wasnt sure how far to go at first but I got into it more as it went on Quote
Chocolat Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Well, sometimes in art classes or when I imagine stories, I take some inspirations from visuals novels. But use it in a drama must be fun, I envy you! Quote
ServeTheServant Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Think about, yes. Use, no. Basically I get distracted and daydream about VNs on the job -_- Quote
Drakenero Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 To tell you the truth...I daydream about Visual Novels in school...... Quote
Freestyle80 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 i use scenario's from VN/anime/manga a lot when i'm writing an essay or paragraph, helps out a lot more than u think. So much that people think i'm actually talented in writing xD Quote
OriginalRen Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I am a secret hacker who installs applications on smart phones and labels them as updates to operating systems. I also create personal assistants who assist you in your everyday life by keeping track of your schedule and waking you up in the wee hours of the night via an alarm system. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Sort of, yeah... though mostly the ones that I want to play instead of the ones I finished already. (I do it for anything: books, VN's, video games....) Quote
Dark_Moon Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Everytime I'm not doing anything in particular (so, almost every History and Grammar lesson) I daydream about VN. But I don't think I have never "used" a VN, except once, where I had to write a story for an English test. It ended up to be a summary of Fate/Stay Night. It wasn't original, but hey, it was the highest score of the whole class. Quote
Vokoca Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 After seeing just how scary applying VN-principles to real life can be in Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi, I don't want to come anywhere close to that sort of mindset. As for using VNs... well, there was that time when I wrote a review on Umineko for my English writing course on the uni and got an A, so I guess they do come in handy in one way or the other. Quote
Nagisa_Fawkes Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Think about? Yes, almost all the time. Use it? No, I never had the opportunity to. Quote
DimDito Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Let's see... I usually imagine choices popping up whenever my life seems to depend on something. Like trying to console my crush alone, when she feels down. 1. Hug her, tell her she's beautiful and that everything will be okay. 2. Awkwardly stutter and end up saying nothing at all. In which case my mind automatically locks the better choice and decides on the latter. Pacmanisover9000 1 Quote
Darkshine Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Sure I think about VNs sometimes, also japanese RPGs and anime if it's worth remembering, I might make use of it some day but I don't see me doing something with it now cause there's still a lot of VNs that I haven't read yet so i'll be focused on doing just that. OriginalRen Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I had a dream the other day that I turned into an animated character, and the 3d and 2d world existed together in one giant DJ party in Akihabara, with a mix of anime themed music as well as famous pop songs from around the world. I distinctly remember dancing to Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" with the protagonist from Grisaia, G-Senjou, Sharin no Kuni, and Cocoro@Function! (the last in the list is for obvious reasons). I think Yui from Angel Beats was on guitar for the Daft Punk cover, with Sonico on DJ duty, and myself on bass... It was actually a pretty vivid dream, as cameras from around the world were filming it all. It was like the Olympic opening ceremony honestly. Quite odd. Quote

OriginalRen Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 You were sleeping on Acid. I was just really really tired lol...it was actually a pretty interesting dream. Quote
OriginalRen Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Another instance was me discussing Japan with a friend. Felt like I was giving a tour. Quote
grim_tales1 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 When I play VN I wish it was so easy to have a relationship with a girl as the MC does Quote
Schala Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 VNs I've read had really been useful, but I really have to mention Steins;Gate. All those science stuff had sort-of became useful and I learned tons of stuff too. :-bd Quote
Mr. Meogii Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I do think about it. Like when I'm being to self centred I remind myself of how most protagonists of romance Vns take time to consider the feelings of others Quote
Freestyle80 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 remember being dense is key to achieving a harem Quote
OriginalRen Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I dream about Ren and Aldred in my sleep. Quoted for truth. Quote
Stanleys Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I definitely will daydream about the current VN im reading when I phase out. It usually involves coming up with theories and predicting whats gonna happen next. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong. Quote
Freestyle80 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 once i had a dream where selections were appearing in front of me during my everyday life like in VNs xD Quote
