Fixes to common problems with Visual Novel Reader

i use the machine translation since i don't know any japanese however, for some visual novels the translation shows up fine but on some others the translation window for some reason does not show up, i am quite new to all of this so i have no clue as to what might be causing this. It would be wounderful if any of you have any way to fix this

I'm not sure I'll get a reply but for some reason when I open a vn and try and use Visual Novel Reader there's no text box for where the translations are supposed to go it's like it never existed in the first place, help?

After you inside the game with VNR already hooked with VN.
Start the game and stop when first text box appear (not VNR textbox) 
1. If VNR translation box still haven't appear yet then hover you pointer to VNR box usually at left side go to "Menu - text settings - text encoding change it into UTF-16 - make sure you save" then you click in-game next dialog and see if anything appear in text threads (at text settings) 
2. In case 1 options failed you might need H-code.

Hello there, I have problem with my VNR like this
When I run "Visual Novel Reader.exe" it change my mouse cursor and bring up loading picture, but after that the Spring Board don't appear and nothing happen.
Can anyone help me to fix this problem, please?

VNR nowadays still works fine, but what do you guys think about it's translation? I have it on google dictionary, and it's kinda like really bad LOL do you guys use some sort of different translations for better dialogue translations~?

Ik VNR is kinda dead but I'm having the exact same problem. Works fine on my old laptop but it refuses to open on my new one.
