Kygrykhon Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I've played London Detective Story and Kisaragi, both on my iPhone (well, if those are considered VNs..) I would like to know more about any available VNs in mobile device, preferably in IOS. I don't like jailbreaking my device, but if it is truly necessary then I will. I may also buy an Android phone should many VNs are available there. Yeah, I'm willing to spend money. I apologize in advance if this is a repeated topic. So, anybody knows more VNs titles available in these devices? Quote

So, anybody knows more VNs titles available in these devices? Hey Kygrkhon, i wrote a guideto iOS visual novels a long time ago. There's also an android guide. I haven't done any research on iPhone VNs for a long time, and they are very obscure. You might be able to find other Western developed VNs up there. If you want english translated VNs on iPhone the selection is small, There's this one http://visualnovelaer.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/love-academy-otome-game-in-english-now-available-for-free-on-android-soon-iphone/ and this one http://visualnovelaer.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/burn-your-fat-with-me-iosandroid-app/ You can basically flick through this list on vndb.org. It should be complete. Quote
Kygrykhon Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks for the help. I practically laughed at "Burn your fat with me!" because that's definitely one VN that I needed but haven't found yet. You don't actually know me IRL, do you? I'm not exactly looking for PC VN that is converted to IOS or Android, but more of VN that are available on those devices in the first place. I tried xClannad and although it works, I was confused because after that I played BOTH the PC and the iPhone version. I don't know which is which, and in the end I only played PC version. Quote
Sakamoto Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I've made a small but incomplete list on my blog: http://visuallyneko.wordpress.com/android-games/ Moe Cure Net is way cheaper on iOS though. http://vndb.org/r?q=&fil=lang-en.plat-ios (For English-only VN releases on iOS) To sum it up: iOS has more exclusive VNs ranging from mediocre to great, and Android has many VN hacks and ports such as Onscripter and Ren'py for Android. Tay Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I recently blogged about a great way to play lots of Visual Novels on Android devices. You can find the post here: Link. iOS VNs (in English, in North American app store) are limited and (mostly) poor in quality. Quote
