canvas 2 screen resolution solution not working

so the screen stays small when go into full screen mode i even get the same black when i switch to my desktop. it doesn't go back to normal till i quit the game. ive tried the solution after reading this https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/1871-canvas-2-faq/ and still get the same problem. i notice that my settings go to center image no matter what when i start the game any ideas?

Try right clicking on the desktop icon or the icon you use to run the game, then go "Properties", go to "Compatibility" and check "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" the quality wont change much, if at all so don't worry about that.
