Rewrite Mac Issues

I apologize if I missed a thread for this anywhere, couldn't see and I'm leaving for work in a minute, so I thought I'd just whip this up real quick. lol

 

Am not using Windows like the majority of you, but am using the Wine program (just learning it); with it and uTorrent I managed to get Rewrite to go through and everything and even to the Rewrite 1.0 Setup Install section which seems like it works and then launches. However, it then says:

 

"The program SiglusEngine.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close."

 

I've seen that's been an issue before, so I got the Gaijin-hack version that was mentioned, but it doesn't seem to make any real difference and it's set it in the same folder as the Rewrite data.

 

Still learning how all this works, so I apologize for any repeated or stupid questions. *bows*

 

For reference, I run a Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5 (Not sure what other information you may need due to it being a mac if any)

Did you download the fuwanovel torrent or something else? Is your Wine using japanese locale? Did you install DirectX?

Well, I downloaded it from Fuwanovel if thats what you mean, yes. Otherwise, as stated, I used the uTorrent program.

 

As for Wine using Japanese Locale, I'm not sure. So, probably not. lol Didn't think I'd have to switch that in that particular program (shows my knowledge level with such things) and not sure how, I'll try to figure it out.

 

As for DirectX…that's another negative, so I suppose I'll go do that right now. Thank you, Luch.

 

Edit: Or will as soon as I figure out how to, giving me troubles getting DirectX now. Le sigh. *plugs away*

After spending days trying to get Wineworking on my MBP, I gave in and had to VM windows 7.
