You get a ton of rare Nicos though so you're on the fence.

I'm also out oftop 200. Such competition, so grind, wow.

Eventually we'll get to a point where it's just near impossible to get love gems without paying. Maybe at 200 love gems i'd say is where things start stagnating.

So far I'm going to approx. I got 18 Nico cards.

Yeah, I only have 6 more rares to idolize, then I am pretty much relying purely on events and login bonus to get love gems. Daily songs are gonna dry up fast too. At least there's a love gem per Expert song you clear.

The rate at which they give love gems so far is pretty good, a little on the high side compared to some other games. The problem is that they don't have other forms of currency that can be used to acquire things as well.

The problem is once you start clearing all the goals, which doesn't take THAT long, getting love gems will take forever. You'll need to wait for new songs which come out very slowly or you idolize new cards, but to idolize cards you need the cards in the first place and to get those you need, surprise, love gems~

And through events of course but you won't rank high on events without, once again, love gems.

So yeah it will eventually stagnate and you'll be almost forced to spend money if you want anything more out of the game.

Not to mention ranking up will take longer and longer.

But for now it's still bearable.

Its taking 1860 exp for rank up to 71 ~ LP25 song a big help =w= If no event, will taking 2 days + for up rank w. LP25 songs~

Note: This is just a prediction...

 

Calculations for acquiring love gems per year (excluding events, completion of a new set of song on all levels, and also any extras given for other reasons):

 

5 gems per month (this month is 6 but for the sake of this calculation, assume that each month gives only 5). Number of love gems per year based on this would be 60.

 

5 gems on the birthday date of a member of muse. Therefore 45 gems can be obtained per year from that.

 

Therefore, if you diligently log in everyday (including the birthdays of the members of muse), you can get 105 gems just from that.

That's true. This calculation is only for those who are unfortunate enough to not be able to use any money (like me).

There are certain factors in my unfortunate life (that shan't be mentioned because they make me angst just at the mention of them) that would still make me unable to use any money for SIF.

I think I have already logged in daily since my first day, so that isn't an issue for me. I'm just not looking forward trying to compete in events. For a game I play, Phantasy Star Online 2, that's FTP but has a lot of mistransaction stuff (nothing required whatsoever, just helps out slightly here and there), I went 7 months before spending event a dollar despite having reasons that could heavily benefit me in the game.

I'm stingy.

Got a rare in a draw. Not a Nico for once, instead it was a Pure Hanayo (this is my 5th pure Hanayo...)

I hope I land in the 1000-2000 range for score in the end, I would love to have 3 love gems.

This next segment I'm just expressing random thoughts that came up with me looking at random Love Live stuff throughout the night. I really don't have another place I frequent that adores Love Live, and the person I talk to most watches anime but hasn't finished the Love Live anime yet so I can't mention some things.

So, even without knowing Japanese, everyone I talk to over a headset on Xbox Live (which I use every day) while I'm playing SIF can recognize one common sound in everything Rin says, and I think they get tired of hearing it. I don't think they'd be able to stomach this video

Nightly Discovery: I didn't know the song Yuujo no Change meant "Unchanging Friendship". I randomly searched Rin's name in Japanese into Youtube and came up with Yuujo no Change duet of Rin and Hayano, which I google translated the name and discovered the meaning. I then remembered that the instrumental of the song played in episode 11, such meaning. I next proceeded to read the lyrics and realized how awesome they fit into Rin and Hanayo's relationship. They've been friends for so many years, and just support each other, especially in the anime.

New paragraph because I don't like long ones. I am a huge huge supporter of friendships that involve supporting each other emotionally and such. That's why Rin + Hanayo is such a great thing in my eyes, in S1 Rin is there to help Hanayo do something she really wanted to but was too hesitant. In S2 you have Hanayo trying to support Rin and getting over her complex.

My LP is at like 8 right now and it's 5 AM and I haven't been to sleep. I should go to sleep soon since the sooner I sleep, the more sleep I get before I have to wake myself up to play to not waste LP

You should totally sleep. If you get little sleep, then when you play there's the possibility that you'll end up making mistakes you normally wouldn't.

Mephisto, I've added you in the game aswell (my name is Sylvian). Normally I have a UR Umi up as my leader, but for the sake of the event and not messing up my team, I've got my SR Honoka up. After the event I'll have my UR up again.

I've been obsessed with this game lately. Rank 37, currently trying to FC Wild Stars. Almost got it just now, but then messed up right at the end T_T Also, I adore the current event song!! Especially since Eli, Maki and Nico are my favorite characters~~
