[SOLVED] Hoshizora no Memoria - Wish Upon A Shooting Star skipping

Just a question in regards to Hoshizora skipping unread text even though I made it so this wouldn't happen. It happened when I started my second playthrough on the twintailed twin (Forogt her name). The screen was using images I never saw in the first route and when i stopped it there was a situation I never read before. Thank goodness I saw an unfamiliar image otherwise I could've skipped a lot off text I haven't read. Now it makes me think I may have skipped some unread text.

 

Why does it do this and how can I turn it off?

 

Also, why is this vn trying to come up with as many bad ideas as possible until I throw a car battery at my pc?

It's a glitch, probably with the patch. It can't be fixed, you need to stop the skipping yourself. This is only for the girls' routes though, it works normally in the common route so you're not missing those new scenes as the skipping stops itself like it should.

 

For the routes, just stop after

Mare is saved and the Tenkuru goes back to normal

And then just proceed normally until you enter the route.

 

You'll get a new extra scene during the common route with that mystery girl every time you complete a girl's route until eventually you can go after her (after you complete all the routes)

Strangely enough, the skipping works well in the common route (it always stopped for me when a new scene related to the true route appeared), but as for the routes themselves, yeah - doesn't work at all.

Ok. I figured the new text would start after that mare saving part and everyone is in the clubroom.

Komomo. Hisakaki Komomo. I'm on 4th route playthrough and she's still best girl. Never forget. Komomo. Best. Girl.

anyway yeah, after one or two playthroughs you'll just get used to stopping at that exact scene. For now just quick save every 10 seconds while you skip through the lines. Eventually you'd easily find where to stop.

Are there any option settings which correlate to this skipping bug phenomenon? It's a shame that the options screen is not translated, I can't understand it at all

There's an option for skipping read lines but as mentioned, it's broken. This bug cannot be fixed.
