I don't think that Nyaa being down has anything to do with this, MAL and Mangagamer had also had a hacker attacks and they aren't pirate sites true I am not sure that this is related either.

Nyaa been down all day, and this  was the day that I like reorganized my NAS. Got rid of many lower-end stuff, duplicates, and was downloading better versions of shows and some shows are blacklisted on BBT so Nyaa is my second choice ... grr...............

Well direct downloading still works so I can get my anime fix, but I guess downloading VNs will have to wait a bit

I don't like DDL, and too lazy to XDCC. Since I have a lot of anime/manga/VNs downloaded, the only thing that's affected for me is airing anime. For that, I'll just wait for nyaa to come back up.

 

Also, the site isn't down due to an attack, apparently it's undergoing migration.

On another distro-related note, nyaa is down again, this time for migration.
