Rewrite question about Kotori's route

I have a question about something I noticed on my second playtrough.

 

At the beginning of the story Kotori's 'mother' tells you to bring her home cause she hasn't come back from the forest yet and it is also told that this isn't the first time that she asked Kotarou to do it. But by the end of the

Kotori's route it is revealed that she's a familiar. So how come she told him to look for her. Did Kotori order her to ask Kotarou to look for her if she didn't come back? It feels like I've missed something. Is it revealed somewhere?

It is mentioned that familiars probably can be controlled subconsciously, so it might've been that. It's also possible she just ordered her to ask him that if she doesn't come back by a certain time.

Also, near the end of her route, her parents defended her, even without her orders, and is hint that they still had some conscious from when they were alive, so probably they still cared about her, and then asked.

 

They also may have been ordered before to look for her at night, or if she didn't tell them that she would stay out at night.

 

Like you said, Funnerific, maybe she was ~feeling~ lost, and that triggered the order to search for her.
