Question about Hoshizora no Memoria (Mystery Girl)

This question is mostly about the mystery girl, so in order to avoid spoilers I'll give it a tag.

 

In Yume's route, it ends with you graduating. Then magically all of a sudden you regain all of your memories or something and does your mom whisk you back into time? The ending literally made no sense for me, so I'm rather confused.

 

 

(Fairly new here. Used the search function and after skimming through about 10 posts I'm going to assume that it's just Shinigami no Kiss style)

From what I gathered, yes.

 

The "Deus ex Machina" plot twist kind of throws the game in a spiral that doesn't make much sense. While the other girl's routes could essentially take place at the same time you are going down Yume's route (as shown by the fact that Asuho's reaped nightmare scene occurs in her route when she reveals her name), Yume's ending cannot happen if you choose Mare's. On the other hand, Mare cannot have the ending she does if you choose Yume, as her role in the story changes.
