I'm not exactly sure what you're specifically looking to hone in on in respects to something similar to Katawa Shoujo.

 

Grisaia no Kajitsu takes place in a dormitory with heroines that are each suffering from their own traumas.

Narcissu has a sickly protagonist.

Konosora is fairly light heated and also takes place in a dormitory.

If what you are seeking is the aspect of the VN that focuses on the problems of different girls, or if you seek romance, you should try Key stuff.

Kanon, Clannad, Little Busters (however Kanon is the only one with H-scenes)

I wouldn't recommend Grisaia or Sharin no Kuni (though i haven't played that one) ... I think they are too "dark and heavy" ...

 

But Little Busters! is great and also KonoSora (If my Heart had Wings) would be great, I think.
