Kimanor Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 What English original visual novel are you looking forward to the most? This is of course for ones that are in development, but if you have absolutely no idea, don't hesitate to say something like Katawa shoujo! After all, at least you stated you opinion (Nothing will defeat katawa shoujo) which will garner the respect of fuwa! I have to say that I am looking forward to Violet Hill! Yes, I am working on it, but our project leader is making the plot on a need to know basis. I can't wait to read the story and release the awesome demo! Was this advertising? Up to you. I was stating my opinion, and I want yours. So tell me fuwanovel! Tell me your opinions! Quote
hotsauce2000 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Honestly I have no idea what's coming out other than Lucid9 - and that's only because I spotted the thread yesterday! Quote
Albedo Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 The next part of Dysfunctional Systems. The first one was pretty good, even if the part after the mission dragged out a little. Quote
Tatsujin Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles Vol. 2Grisaia second and third games. (if this ever, ever happens ...) Quote
Tatsujin Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Oh ...are they even good? The art is almost good. I saw couple of them. Quote
InvertMouse Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I do have respect for Violet Hill (I keep typing Violent Hill, which shows the kind of person I am). To my knowledge, it will be a free title that has no funding campaign. All done through passion. I made several VNs way back in college before kickstarter was a thing. That stuff is more rare now. Keep it up . The game's art looks good as well, though I loathe to be one who only cares about pretty graphics. Looking forward to the demo . Quote
Praeliator Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I definitely look forward to Exogenesis ~Perils of Rebirth~. Also Sunrider looks interesting enough so I'll check out the demo when I feel like it. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 The sequel to Scheherazade. Technically a sim but these forums don't really make a distinction between VN and dating sim. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Exogenesis is the only OELVN I am looking forward to. Quote
InvertMouse Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Varies from OELVN to OELVN. A lot seem to be underfunded, which is expected, but there's some gems there. You just have to look really, really, REALLY hard. You have to dig past all the Sakura Spirits of the bunch. No offense intended, Invert, of course. None taken man it's all love . I must say I have observed something. How people perceive a game on forums and how the community spends its money seem to be completely different. I have given up on trying to understand. Quote
DimDito Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I'm looking forward to Violet Hill. They say it has a dedicated team who put a lot of work into it, especially its beta tester. I've heard rumors that he could finish 10 routes of Clannad in one sitting, and go through Heavens Feel without dying once. Amazing! (though in all seriousness I'm looking forward to it more than anything else) *cough* blatant advertising *cough* Quote

grim_tales1 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Definitely looking forward to Exogenesis, as a big Zero Escape/Ace Attorney fan I started the demo but havent actually finished it yet, I'm wondering whether to go in mostly blind when the full thing comes out. Quote

I've finished the demo, and it does not have spoilers... the beginning is a bit weird though. Up to you if you want to play it or not. grim_tales1 1 Quote
Diamon Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Do I really need to say it? Well, I am looking forward to the demo release of Violet Hill though! Also, I had a lot of expectations concerning Kendo Crush, but looks like they are going to make a 180° shift by including mechas and a sci-fi universe, so I don't really know what to think... Quote
Vokoca Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I am honestly kind of looking forward to that dating sim with swearing all over the place. I sadly forgot the name, but it looked pretty hilarious. Quote

Well I played some of the demo but not finished it yet, I may as well to get a flavour of it, but yes, I do prefer not seeing anything coming... Quote
havoc Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I am looking foward to love despite. Seems like a lot of work is going in to it. Other than that i dont really follow them. Quote

nohman Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 How the characters got their names: I hope they make it a parody of dating sims in general, or I'm going to just get depressed. Apparently the creator, Ryan Koons, used to work at Insomniac Games, the company that developed the first 3 Spyro games (the only good ones :/ ) and the Ratchet and Clank series. I'm now slightly more interested in it, but still, I'm going to wait until it's released and I hear good things about it to buy it. At it's price point, I'm already sold on it. I feel even if it isn't as tongue in cheek as I'm expecting, it'll still be amusing. Quote
melelisun Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Anyone heard of Sunrider? It's a partial strategy game and it looks like it'll be fun! Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Part 1 of Sunrider has already been released. It's fun, especially the combat system, but it's not written fantastically and the plot is light. Although considering it's free, it's an awesome product. Mr Poltroon 1 Quote
douggle Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 It would be kinda nice to see a continuation of Juniper's Knot. Its about the only OELVN I really liked. Quote
