madvanced Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 This is probably going to be moved to G&C. Anyway, 1 or 2 years ago when I actually was a lot into it I listened to a lot of SNSD, Kara, CN Blue, etc. But my favorite k-song(it isn't exactly pop) is from Black blood brothers ed 1(I think it's the 1st one) Shinkirou from Loveholic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avDoScyoPLQ arakura 1

Fine with it being moved anywhere didn't really know where/if I should start one on Fuwa anyways. Also, thanks for the video I haven't heard of them, but I liked the song.

LiquidShu Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Mine was Oh, also from SNSD. It was my real first contact with k-pop. I listen to them every time I play Ahri in League of Legends, it increases my performance by 5x. SNSD is a pretty good place to start though.

I don't know about right now but they were the most popular, so most people started with them, in the case of boys bands most started either with Super Junior or Big Bang.

Hmm maybe BIGBANG would be a good place to start now? They are one of my favorites and GD is world renown. Also TOP is getting popular as an actor and Taeyang released a solo album not to long ago. I don't think they would make much more music though as they are getting close to the required military service.

That's what happened to Shinwa because of the military service. Same with Kim Jong Kook(ballad singer).
Life Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 This song blew up when it came out. The first one I listened to as well. I have noticed that K-pop has become increasingly popular in the west the past few years. Very interesting. LiquidShu 1

Anyways I already did a MV dump so will wait a bit before another one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRJ4IzpfVUs While I think there are a lot of good voices in k-pop I just kinda outgrew it and stopped listening to it, for apparently no reason whatsoever.
LiquidShu Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 While I think there are a lot of good voices in k-pop I just kinda outgrew it and stopped listening to it, for apparently no reason whatsoever. A shame :^( you should start listening to it again a lot of new bands and what not. However not nearly as many ballads... K - POP seems to have shifted away from that recently.
