j2.dless Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Can somebody recommend me a great 18+ visual novel that has a great art and story like Grisaia no Kajitsu, Katawa Shoujo, Snow Sakura, Yume Miru Kusuri, Eidelwise, and Hoshizora no Memoria? I prefer the protagonist to be intellectual, the setting is in high school, the comedy does not go over board (I don't like comedy the likes of Hayate Combat Butler and to Luv-Ru that goes beyond realism), and not so dark (by dark I mean dark as to leave a bitter after taste like Muv Luv alternative and has to many grotesque/gore scenes). Flutterz Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Sounds like you'd enjoy Sharin no Kuni and G-Senjou no Maou. http://vndb.org/v57 http://vndb.org/v211 Quote
V_Kitsune_V Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Maybe I could suggest Ikikoi http://vndb.org/v5240 Quote

havoc Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 here are some good recomendations, altough they are my standard recommendations to newcomers on the forum so you may have rad some of them.  Fate/stay night is a must play. It is nothing like the anime thing that carries its name. Hopefully it wil finally have the unlimited blade works route adapted next season. And we just have a new patch that has translated the realta nua version of the game. (wich is an all ages game so it does away with the H stuff and replaces it by something else) http://vndb.org/v11  Tsukihime Another must play, and no this one does not have a anime adaption. http://vndb.org/v7 (it is ancient, got no voice and no music. But it is so good)  Muv Luv series, now Muv Luv extra is not that good and Unlimited is merely good but alternative is definitly a must read and to understand it completely you need to have read these two first. (I so hope muv luv alternative get's an anime adaption at some point) http://vndb.org/v93 (extra/unlimited) yes they are packed into one game http://vndb.org/v92 (alternative)  g senjou maou Is also a must read. http://vndb.org/v211  Other than that there is Grisaia no Kajitsu wich is also a must read. http://vndb.org/v5154  And last there is clannad. Also a must read, but the current translation is rough so i would wait until sekai project releases it officially. http://vndb.org/v4  and that is it for standard recommendations http://vndb.org/v3 (name i cnat spell) it is one of my personal favorites  little busters http://vndb.org/v5  and for something a little bit different than the rest, monster girl quest http://vndb.org/v5657 Quote
Darkshine Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 G-Senjou no Maou is a 100% must read. You're missing out if you haven't finished the true ending. Unix 1 Quote
