haaruuhiii Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 So recently I downloaded Starry Sky In Spring-- it's my first time trying to install a patch on a game so forgive me if this sounds dumb aha Plus I just recently got a PC and it's all very new and confusing I successfully(?) installed the patch, but the game still appears in Japanese so now I'm wondering if I did something wrong during the installation process. For some reason I couldn't direct the patch installer directly to the game, so I grabbed the location of the application in hopes that it would work It turned out like this: D:\Users\HOME SERVER\Downloads\[Fuwanovel] Starry Sky ~in spring~\[Fuwanovel] Starry Sky ~in spring~\1) Install Starry Sky\game I didn't expect it to work, but my computer said it successfully installed the patch, so I booted up the game and it was still in Japanese. I've tried to use different directories, including the default that was on the read-me, but every time I try, a pop-up will appear saying "invalid directory". So I'm not quite sure what to do now ;; Help would be much appreciated ahah Quote
GetterEmperor Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 It says not to install the patch to \[Fuwanovel] Starry Sky ~in spring~\1) Install Starry Sky\game but to \Visual Novels\Starry Sky\GAME\Starry™Sky`in Spring. Quote
haaruuhiii Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 It says not to install the patch to \[Fuwanovel] Starry Sky ~in spring~\1) Install Starry Sky\game but to \Visual Novels\Starry Sky\GAME\Starry™Sky`in Spring. I replaced \[Fuwanovel] Starry Sky ~in spring~\1) Install Starry Sky\game with \Visual Novels\Starry Sky\GAME\Starry™Sky`in Spring if that's what you meant? It still comes up as "invalid directory" though ;; Quote
GetterEmperor Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 There's a section called "Troubleshoot" at the bottom of this page in case you missed it. See if this can be of any help to you. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I figured out how to install the patch correctly. 1. Install the game 2. Install the patch 3. When asked to select a directory, DO NOT select the directory you selected for the game. What I mean is this: For example, for installing the game you chose the directory - D:\Otomegames\StarrySky When you install the patch, select this directory - D:\Otomegames\StarrySky\Starry™Sky'in Spring' Quote
nightowl Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 The problem I had was that, I got the english patch to be in what I think is the right place (C:\USERS\OWNER\DOCUMENTS\[FUWANOVEL] STARRY SKY ~IN SPRING~\[FUWANOVEL] STARRY SKY ~IN SPRING~\1) INSTALL STARRY SKY) because it says "Your game's already patched. Now go play!"; After I open the starry sky application though, it's still in Japanese and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. My locale's was already set to Japanese before I installed anything, and I stopped the seeding of the game. Can someone help plox? Quote
