Hi guys,

so I wanted to try out Root Double, but the problem is I can't get through the DVD protection. I've installed the VN just fine, but when I launch it, I get this error. I thought I'd get around this with an SCSI drive on DT, but for some reason that doesn't help at all. I'm running Windows 8.1.

Any ideas?

This is not the same issue as with SCSI drive. In that case it tells you that the key doesn't match the disc. But here it mentions install error.

In this case you see this issue because Route Double is not compatible with Windows 8.1.

Seriously. :/ Compatibility mode/reinstall didn't help. Even tried installing the old DirectX that came on the .iso, didn't help either. Gah, I guess I won't be reading this one.

You can always go with VirtualBox. Its a must have software for anyone who wants to use stupid OSes ^__^

But personally I wouldn't be reading it anyway. I am waiting for Xtend Edition windows port (official or fanmade)

Is there any wort on any of those even happening?

I was considering buying Xtend on the Vita as it was on sale, but I have a problem with the kanji being too small on the Vita. :/

Hello, I'm running it on windows 8.1 and it works fine, for make it works I mounted the .mds file with SCSI drive then start the game and it should works.

PS: You need to keep your .mdf file, if you don't your .mds file cannot be mounted.
