because its such a good series

 

its a breakaway from the usual storyline which gets boring and frustrating

boy meets girl; boy has special skill and travels with girl

boy meets girl; fell in love at school (vice versa)

guy meets girl and ends up living under a bridge with a community of weirdos

Panty and Stocking was meant to be a parody of western animation, pretty much to make fun of the US and all of western culture.

I doubt that another season will be released because they made the point they were trying to get across.

Hmmmm... Ending the series with a fucked up ending like they already did kind of fits the style of Panty & Stocking.
