Nosebleed Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Am I the only one that thinks Sora no Method is a bit of a let down? It has such a nice art and setting and then the story is literally just a misunderstanding between some kids 7 years ago that are now too stubborn to talk it out. Literally when I found out the reason Yuzuki blamed the saucer for everything was because of her brother getting hurt, I kind of facepalmed. I thought it was something big like a family member dying or something, but nope, just that she can't have a conversation with her brother and apologize. Luckily 2 of Nonoka's friends were already decent human beings and just got together with her like normal people, and now Yuzuki finally joins them. And now all that's left is that incredibly stubborn dark haired girl that's probably only upset because of some promise that was likely broken due to unforeseen circumstances, but god forbid they actually talk it out. When the entire story of an anime is like this, it feels really underwhelming. Maybe i'm just not seeing something but this is literally all that's happened in the first 5 episodes. Plot elements like the saucer have barely been used and Noel also has been serving no particular purpose other than just be a regular human. What a shame. I'll still keep watching, it's not that it's boring, it's just that it's underwhelming. Quote
Jibril Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Argh they cut so many scenes in Grisaia.... I guess that's what you get from a 12 episode adaptation... However, gotta love the fact they got a piano version for the ending song of Michiru, and they even use the movie?! With upgrades! Hell yes~~ Quote

Jibril Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I saw somewhere that it was extended to 26 episodes, but don't know if its true Eh really? But they only use 3 episodes for Michiru... considering we have 4 more girls, it will only totaled to 12-15... unless they adapt Meikyuu Quote
cloudy12 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Shigatsu wa Kimi Uso never fails to disappoint. Everything about it is beautiful, from visuals to the music. I'm moved everytime I watch them perform, especially episode 3 when Kaori sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Kousei's mini-solo at the end . Definitely favourite anime of the season for me. Quote

No wait, their animations are pretty good actually. Blame cramming a 40 hour VN to 12 episodes. Quote

Jibril Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Therefore, everyone should drop their expectations. Its an anime VN adaption. How good can it be? *points at UBW* *rubs UBW at face* ....The secret word is ufotable my dear.... Quote
Chewy Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 *points at UBW* *rubs UBW at face* ....The secret word is ufotable my dear.... Please clarify what UBW stands for and ufotable means...... Im horrible at english though its my first language...... Quote
Jibril Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Please clarify what UBW stands for and ufotable means...... Im horrible at english though its my first language...... Blasphemy! Thou sayeth thee dost not know of ufotable the best VN studio adapter on tis' world?! Such word, might sayeth that Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works (2014) is currently airing and based on the VN Fate/stay night. Tis anime regarded as Anime of the Year~ Quote

Hoh~ well ufotable did the Garden of Sinners series as well as Fate/Zero. If you have seen them, you should see the animation and adaptation skills that they've got. Quote

Jibril Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I will retract my earlier statement then. Most anime VN adaptions are done horribly. Now that's I can 100% completely agree with. Quote
Oiacz Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Well, UBW is wonderful because ufotable is adapting just ONE route in one anime. They aren't doing the same as other studios that adapt all routes in just one anime... But if ufotable made that with UBW and Heaven's Feel or Fate, it would be a disaster as any other VN adaptation... I always though tht VN adaptation should be like: >13 episodes for common route >4 episodes for each route in different OVAs release, It'd be way better then mixing the "unmixable" in a linear story. Nagisa_Fawkes Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I've just watched Ane Log. Wow, I think this is one of the biggest brocons I've ever seen, I'm not even kidding. The complex is so strong to the point of being a little annoying... Quote

Nagisa_Fawkes Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I, now, declare war on this Tail Gear. How can a costume that transforms a cute petite girl into a plotted monstrosity be allowed to exist!? BURN IT! BURN IT NOW! AND BURY THE ASHES! Quote
Nosebleed Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I was also disappointed, such a waste of an adorable loli and godly twintails. The president should just stay in regular human form, she's much cuter that way. Quote
Ceris Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Despite liking Yuuki Yuuna as a whole, I didn't really like the new episode. So much happened in a short time, And all this "dramatic" stuff happened without any feeling to it. Overall left me disappointed Quote
