Muv-Luv Installation

Hi, I've been trying to install muv-luv for a while now and it hasn't been very succesful.  I'm running Windows 7 and have been in Japanese System Locale for this entire process.
 
I tried mounting the MUV_LUV_EXTRA.ccd with Daemon Tools Lite and SETUP.exe had the same error each time trying to install:

However, when I ran the english patch installer it seemingly installed successfully (I did mount disc1 and disc2 during the process when prompted).
 
But whenever I start the game now it comes up with the same error, whether in administrator mode, windows xp service pack 3 compatibility mode, or both:

If I try and run the game with MUV_LUV_EXTRA.ccd mounted and through setup, then clicking 'Game Start', it gives the error message "could not open data.ami"

, then proceeds to give the above ((http://imgur.com/ArXAIxS))error message screenshotted all over again.

 

I'd really appreciate any advice on how to fix or an alternative download/installation source (TPB one seems to be the same as the fuwanovel version in terms of functionality).  For reference, I've already tried a lot of googling and topics such as this I've already checked:

haven't really been able to fix my problems although I probably missed something.  I've also tried cold reboots and clean uninstalls.

After installing it, you shouldn't have to mount the file again and just run this .exe from the drive you installed it in:

The version I downloaded is from Fuwanovel, which works fine after installation. But since you have one from another source, I suggest downloading Fuwas if you still can't run it.

That's how i did it, and it works for me just fine. Does your version look like this? The steps are pretty straightforward.

I'll try it again with the fuwa version, but I didn't have much success with it the first dozen times..  The pre-installed DTL didn't work at all and I think I'd get the same error.  Also, I'd like to avoid having that huge download yet another time.  Still, thanks, I'll try it if its the only option left, if it worked for you it should for me eventually.

Ok, I redownloaded the fuwa version, ran the english patch installer and had my antivirus disabled for the process.  after seemingly installing successfully, it gave this error message when I tried to run the game, admin mode or not:

I tried uninstalling and using SETUP.exe, and it gave me the 'Loader couldn't initialize service' error when I tried to install.  I am in Japanese system locale for this whole thing.

Please help.

Ok I finally got it working.  I had to follow these instructions for my AVG, and have it disabled for the whole download:

 

0. Change your locale to Japanese

1. Disable AVG antivirus

2. Mount Muv Luv Extra & Install on the default directory (Just hit Ok or next, it should be fine)

3. Run English patch (The 29.5mb file)

4. Exclude the installation folder from AVG scan list? (C:age)
To exclude it on AVG. Open AVG > Options > Advanced Settings > Exceptions > Add Exception > Exception Type = Folder Then find the installation folder.

5. Exclude the Muv Luv application from AVG. Open Avg > Options > Advanced Settings > Exceptions > Add Exceptions > Exception Type = File Then inside the age folder select the muv luv application \マブラヴ11\

6. Mount Muv Luv Unlimited. It contains a single file \マブラヴ11.rio.002\ copy it in the installation folder and hit REPLACE.

 

I installed it with the english patch installer as SETUP.exe does not work properly.

Good to see that you got it working, have fun playing Muv-Luv. Make sure you play Alternative after completing both Extra and Unlimited.
