Kurisu-Chan Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I pursue the attacks at the Frank territories. Quote
babiker Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 That does seem to be the case... Now how will I explain this to the king...? We'll continue attacking the Iberian Peninsula, in particular, the Persian territories. 4+4=8 It seems the Persians couldn't stand against us, my lord! Our land and more is ours again! I keep attacking the goths 95/10 +7 = 12 The Goth's defense has weakened considerably my lord. Two more attacks like this, and the Goths shall be no more! I pursue the attacks at the Frank territories. Lord, these Franks... We cannot keep fighting them alone... Despite the help of the Greeks, we are hardly holding our own. Luckily, word has reached us that the armies of the Shah have finally reached the Frankish land to the North! Let us hope this shall save us... Quote
Katatsumuri Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Order from the king: The league's armies are to engage and drive back the Frankish incursion, as well as providing aid to the goths. Glory to the league Quote
babiker Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Order from the king: The league's armies are to engage and drive back the Frankish incursion, as well as providing aid to the goths. Glory to the league 0+4=4 My lord, these Franks... Despite being faced by two armies, not only do they stand their ground, they even advance upon our land! Morality is low bith withing our armies and the Gothic battalions, and no great speech can lift it. Only a taste of victory will sooth our hearts... Quote
babiker Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I split my armies again into two, one on the Franks, the other on Iberia 6+6=12 Quote
Kosakyun Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I attack the Iberian Peninsula, directing most of the attacks on the Saxons' territory. Quote
babiker Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I attack the Iberian Peninsula, directing most of the attacks on the Saxons' territory. 2+9=11 Most of Iberia is now ours again, Emperor! May this teach the Penguin lord a valuable lesson Quote
Kosakyun Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 "Huh." Emperor Saki was eating his Chow Mien during the meeting of his generals after retaking most of their land in the Iberian Peninsula back. He then stared out into space, looking somewhat dumbstruck. "...the casualties are almost none, given that the Saxons' did not expect a comeback from the army..." "....thought we were running away..." "...fools who should just eat their fishes..." "...crush Britannia?" The generals then looked at the Emperor. Seeing the Emperor dumbstruck, the generals wondered what he was thinking. "Uhm, Your Highness?" "What is the matter, Your Highness?" "Has the chow mien gone bad? Oh for the love of lomi!" "Might we need to bring you to the hospital?" The generals scurried about. No one knew what the hell the Emperor was thinking. Then suddenly, the Emperor moved his lips in a way that resembled speaking. "Emperor Saki, what's the matter?" "....Iberian..." "Sir?" "...mean that I..." "?" Once again, all stared at the Emperor. Suddenly, the Emperor rises, shouting something that no one would have expected from him. "I keep on conquering peninsulas. Does that mean that I, the Emperor, likes penis-sulas!?" ...Just another day in the World War. Quote

Crysis99 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The Romans are gone? Hmm... I might as well attack their successor then. Quote
babiker Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Well, my fellow kings and rulers, I'm afraid the last events have already decided the victors of the game. How, you ask? Well, let me tell you the tale not many of you have heard... ... The Frankish Paladins continued to pound the weakened Goths, destroying village after village, and city after city. The Pope's last orders before he was killed by the invading Huns was to give the title of "Holy Roman Emperor" to King Maef, a title the Frankish lord had never sought out.But as soon as he heard of it, King Maef immediately saw the advantage that title put him in. All of Europe shall now respect him and see his Paladins as the successors to Roman legions. Before he could even show his consent, he received Saxon emissaries asking for an alliance. He accepted, with a smirk, and decided he needed no more help to claim the rest of Europe. The Chinese were small and new to combat in the region, the Goths had barely survived the Hunnic invasion, the Byzantines were being crushed by the Persians and the Goths, and the Persians were too far away to pose any threat. The new world war was his ladder to glory, and soon all shall fear the pounding of his heavy armored Paladins! King Maef ordered his knights to crush the land of King Solid, a pathetic little king whom had been bullying the Goths from even before the world war. He then began to steadily advance on Gothic lands, but he started to notice how many things in his master plan had gone in a rather strange way. The Huns had all but stopped to attack. "Has their leader gone to sleep in some cave?" wondered King Maef. The Eastern Roman Empire's dynasty had passed, away, and the Hellenistic leauge the came in its place showed no enmity towards the Persian nor the Goths, who had been conquering there to-be lands. These unpredictable developments in mind, the Frankish lord realized the Sassanian king had nothing standing in his path, and surely enough, Persian elephants were pounding his North Eastern lands the next day.Out of rage, he ordered all the armies he possessed to eradicate the Goths, and only too late did the King realize the futility of his attack. ... "The Persians are here..." He could hear his soldiers whispering. The renowned Paladins had faced many foes before,But they had only heard of war elephants in legends. King Maef started to experience horrible nightmares where he was stomped repeatedly by a grey elephant. He would wake up screaming "THOSE CURSED PERSIANS!", that only helped increase his soldiers despair of the new enemy. These nightmares continued for a week. The King could no longer continue living like this. He heard tale of a mystic who was said to have the powers to cure anything. After hearing of King Maef's elephant-phobia, the mystic proscribed a mix of elephant droppings for him. "If you can swallow the droppings of a beast, you shall forever be his superior." The king wasn't very enthusiastic about his next task, but he swallowed his pride, and the foul mix, and was found dead the next day. The mystic was never seen again, but the soldiers discovered his was of Gothic origins. The Franks heald a month long funeral, and the other nations, out of respect of the passing king, decided to end the world war. TL;DR,: Maef decided to quit. The way the game will go after that is pretty obvious, and it has lasted long enough. I shall declare the victors and medals in my next post Quote

Kosakyun Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 You do know the "Penguin" died, right? Right now we've got king Tiago "The Victorious" who has grown sick and I'm betting he was born crazy too. I'm just waiting for him to die so we can become a republic of traders. Don't tell him I said that, though. Not that he'd listen. Quote

Aniki Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 I'd like to point out that the Western and Eastern Roman Empires have major disadvantages. 7. The glory of Rome is over. Its military is weak, and its leaders are worthless. West Roman attacks will use the same attack formula, but the resulting number is divided by 4, rounded down. East Roman attacks are subject to this, but the resulting number is only divided by 2, rounded down. With these disadvantages, it was painfully difficult to defend Rome. Whoever reached Northern Italy, the Adriatic Coast, or Sicily first was bound to win. Stray Cat 1 Quote
