nohman Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I'm afraid I've let myself fall more behind. Played Dragon Age: Inquisition all day yesterday. I'll be playing some ORAS tonight. I'm about to fight the first gym. Quote
Stray Cat Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 I'm sorry, haven't been updating. However, I did manage to beat 5 gyms (the last one was tricky but I managed to pull through unscathed even with those Slaking with some careful planning and luck). As you can see, I've had quite a few evolutions. Also, I went from using Booms (Voltorb) to Randy Savage (Machop) who was felled by Team Aqua (I seem to have bad luck with fighting types) and now replaced with Simon (Sandslah) whose sole purpose in life is cutting, rock smashing, and using his strength. Route 110: Booms (Voltorb) Adamant nature. Route 111: Hawkins (Cacnea) Timid nature. Route 112: Randy Savage (Machop) Bashful nature (I miss you Randy Savage). Route 113: Simon (Sandshrew) Docile nature. Route 117: Skidd (Surskit) Timid nature. Firey Path: Pompeii (Numel) Careful nature. Route 114: Quackita (Lombre) Relaxed nature. Jagged Pass: Messed up (Team OP) Lavaridge City: Egg Current team: [swampert] Bruiser (♂) Lv. 36 [Mightyena] Black Fang (♂) Lv. 34 [swellow] Orviller (♂) Lv. 36 [beautifly] Shimmer (♂) Lv. 35 [Loudred] Rave (♀) Lv. 35 [sandslash] Simon (♂) Lv. 22 Deceased: [Makuhita] Boulder (♂) Lv. 14 [Machop] Randy Savage (♂) Lv. 26 http://youtu.be/FviYzMZaBj4?t=2m54s SilverLi 1 Quote
SilverLi Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 2 more days until they release the game in Europe. You are probably finished with every gym and the Pokémon League then. Quote
Stray Cat Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 I'm just going around exploring the stuff I didn't get to so far. Quote
kyrt Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Just picked this game up on a complete whim...first time playing a nuzlocke and my does this make the game more enjoyable. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 Man I forgot about this. Anyway yea, Nuzlockes are a lot of fun. It's how I'm able to remain interested in the series at this point, especially since OR/AS wasn't that good. It's even better with new gens cause you have no idea what's coming. Quote
Getsuya Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 The retro video game club should do a Nuzlocke for one of our future games... Quote
kyrt Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I would be down for that. I actually am enjoying Omega Ruby (the game I picked up). It may be a remake of the so-called worst generation but it's the most fun I've had with a pokemon game in a very long while. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 I would be down for that. I actually am enjoying Omega Ruby (the game I picked up). It may be a remake of the so-called worst generation but it's the most fun I've had with a pokemon game in a very long while. I loved the original R/S, but this somehow turned into a game about environmentalism, which I guess makes sense but sucked a lot of the fun out of it. For me, X/Y was still an amazing breakthrough and aside from G/S, the best Gen. Quote
kyrt Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I must not have gotten to the environmentalism part about Omega Ruby although I thought the original ruby and sapphire were all about environmentalism so it doesn't surprise me. Story wise I think X/Y easily has the best story...I am sad that I sold my copy of the game but am still hoping for a version Z or something even though I find it very unlikely. I currently have all six of my nuzlocke pokemon at level 42 and haven't yet gotten my fourth badge. Some people might consider it over grinding I consider it keeping the critters alive. If no news about a new pokemon game is revealed at E3 I'll probably rebuy X or Y so I can play a playthrough via Wonderlocke. Quote
