Confession:It is truly weird to be in a situation where you feel like a bag of diarrhea bison shit left on the sidewalk next to a mutilated child corpse but your life is still fucking amazing from an objective perspective so you cannot really say "fml"

Its more of a advice for tyrael thread atm so just wait for when other people ask for advice :sachi:

Yea well I expected people to take the thing more seriously and ask questions of their own. I see a ton of people with issues in this thread so I was hoping it would be helpful for them somehow...  :kosame:

This thread is mostly about armchair psychology.  People analyze themselves and let out their problems not expecting anyone to actually help them in anyway, and possibly in fact, make fun of them so that their problems seem to be trivialized.  It's actually quite an amazing idea.  It fulfills the role of "talking to other people about your problems" allowing you to sort them out, while at the same time having other people trivialize them with their own problems making you feel better.

One way I've heard it put is that Marvel is about normal people being superheroes, whereas DC is about superheroes being normal people.  Marvel heroes usually have some flaw to them, aren't considered 'all-powerful', etc, such as Spider man or some random angsty teenager X-man.  DC superheroes are usually larger than life and super-powerful to a degree, such as Superman.  In-general, weak characters are most interesting at their strongest, whereas strong characters are most interesting when they fail.

As a result, you get Marvel being about weak people learning to be strong, and DC being about larger-than-life heroes failing to save someone.  It's a concept that definitely requires a bit more insight, and I don't know much about comics at all, but it's something that could be interesting to keep in mind when looking at the two and superheroes as a whole.  Really the only thing I heard is just the 'thesis statement', everything after that is just my interpretation of it based on writing knowledge.

Confession: I just watch Marvel to see superheroes beat stuff up

By "this thread" do you mean this thread, or the advice thread?

Ah, ~Monogatari?  Felt SHAFT-ish but I couldn't tell if it might've been Shin Sekai Yori or that Samurai Flamenco thing from a few years back that I never saw.  xD

Confession: I hate writing in present tense when it comes to my fiction works. I don't mind reading it at all, but writing in it is the biggest pain in the ass in my opinion. Maybe I just need to practice writing in it more, but it really just irks me.

Monogatari series means I really couldn't care less.

I've already stated why I think monogatari is the antithesis of what I define anime as in a different thread.

Oh nos! Someone said that they don't like an anime I enjoy! My entire existance is has been denied! I gotta go cut myself and cry into my pillow. There I did all the overreaction so no one else has to.

Confession: It realy gets on my tits, how people (including myself on occasion) get incredibly defensive or agressive when someone dosn't share their exact same opinion on a show or other works of fiction. Isn't individuality one of the greatest attributes of the human race?

Confession: It boggles my mind how people (including myself on occasion) get incredibly defensive or agressive when someone dosn't share their exact same opinion on a show or other works of fiction. Isn't individuality one of the greatest attributes of the human race?

Yes, it is, however my opinions are objectively right. You're free to not share them, just keep in mind that if you don't you're objectively wrong.

Confession: The Nuzlocke challenge has broken me...

...

Every single battle is going to be scary from now on. Doesn't matter if I am over-leveled or not... it is going to be terrifying going any further. :(

Confession: I think I might have Asperger's, but I don't think I've ever been diagnosed.

There's probably quite a few of those people.  :P

Truth be told it's possible most people in charge of diagnosing don't understand it that well either.  At the very least, maybe look into it a bit more and see if you can use that information to identity your weaknesses so you have the knowledge.
