Looking good so far! But if you pass, does it mean you never watch Re:Zero again?

:pyaa:

I'll binge it either way, one day :holo:

I'm so tempted to just learn all the hiragana now, so I can weeb out and just run around spamming ohayo gozaimasu (おはよ ございます) and any other elementary phrase that comes to mind but it'll probably screw me over on my quizzes, according to my syllabus we won't have a quiz on all of them until like 3 weeks in T-T

Then it'll be katakana time, and unfortunately we'll only gloss over some kanji at the end, i guess that's reserved for intermed jp

So for now I'll just practice spelling 'names' with my a-so hiraganas like Keiko けいこ  and Saki さき :ryuusui:

wtf is this why the hell does 'sa' look like a face with one line さ and then 'ki' is a face with two lines き, dis too hart!@#

same thing with 'nu' ぬ and 'me' め justa little looper loop difference at the end

ki is literally the easiest hiragana: it looks like a key.

シ - 'shi' is smiling

ソ - 'so' what? It's not a 'tsu'nami.

ン - oh 'nnnnnnnnnnnnn'ooooooo, what happened to her eye!?

Just thought I'd share some memorization tips I used for these.

for me its easier.

ツ scimitar with two scars - tsu

シ katana with two scars - shi

ソ scimithar with one scar - so

ン Katana with one scar - n

I tend to do better with word association rather than images, so that wouldn't work for me. But hey, whatever helps you learn best. :P

I don't know why, but I think the universe hates me whenever I legitimately try to purchase a VN. Mangagamer still will not accept my card and my computer doesn't recognize game files that I download from Jast. Why is it infinitely easier for me to pirate games?

As far as I know, this is still the answer for why both Steam and the iTunes store are successful. Even today, there are still tons of people pirating stuff simply because it's vastly more convenient than buying it legitimately. A sorry state of affairs.

On the up-side, because I have no shame left, I just bought Funbag Fantasy off MG a minute ago, so... at least the problem is localized.

I just had a pretty vivid dream of beating a man to death in front of the mall of my hometown, this is what happens when you read A Clockwork Orange before bed. It was actually rather disturbing how long it took me, after I got out of bed, to realize it was a dream.

Confession: Had my first proper Japanese class at uni today, for some strange reason they started with katakana before hiragana, supposedly so that we could write our names ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Confession 2: On my way from the class, I noticed something I'd noticed a couple of other times before. If I pause my music midway through a song (for example before class starts) then later, even if I don't check my phone or consciously remember the song that I was listening to, if I start humming a song in my head it will most likely be the song that was playing before I stopped.

Confession: Halal food tastes pretty good. My friends were all surprised when i said i never had any before and brought me straight to one of those food trucks lol. These food trucks are everywhere around here, but i guess they never really got my attention.

Plot twist : Halal only means the actual animal was slaughered, basically it's an ancient jewish science practice, it doesn't really change the taste of the meat, only the kind of animal you eat will change it.

But you are mostly talking about Kebab, right? if so, it has a name. :holo:

i deeply regret choosing german as second language at school. i mean ,why the hell did i  thought it was a good idea to start it during my first year of middle school? i think i hadn't realized that i would be stuck with it till the end of higschool... and now, that sucks,'cause i dont even know where the heck i must put a verb in a sentence. let alone the gender of the words , or the declinations (i dont know if it's the right word but you know,it's just like in Latin  ... )  and of course ,i'll be noted on it for my High school diploma... plus , my teacher wont come back at school till november, and the teacher who comes to replace her is just awful... i bet it would have been a better idea to choose chinese or spanish, but eh , as always i fucked up...

Was it a "Write the pronunciation of て" or a "Write the hiragana for te" kind of quiz?
