Anyways, that big ass JP quiz i mentioned last time? Luckily its on Wed, and we went through a nice practice quiz during class so I think I am da readies.

We're not starting writing until next week, but after a few practice runs I can basically write any of the hiragana/katakana. It's probably due to the fact that I learned to read them over 3 years ago

i started japanese class today... sooo... konbanwa! watashi wa gunter desu ...

and ,crap ,i dont know how to say anything else ,but that's nearly a start from the scratch  ^^

also , we had to find wich english names were written in katakana,and then wrote them in katakanas but with the french pronunciation ,and i must say that i was surprised  cause some katakana version were really...strange ... how the hell were we supposed to know that arthur = ア-サ- ?

overall,it was fun and interesting, i hope i'll learn some usefull things soon

u just started and you're doing katakana wtf  my class started with hiragana. we're starting kk soon though, i think. next week. the transition's gonna rekt me i bet ._.

simple, there's no french R sound in japanese, so you generally skip it in japanese.

This is the reason why I'm mad at my friend in Japanese class. His name is literally just "Chi." So yeah. His name is one katakana... So unfair.

アンドレアス takes some time to write, and it sounds dumb with the "do" and "su" there.

えくりぷす (エクリプス) is better in my opinion. Your name does start with "e", so using "i" instead seems a bit odd.

yep ,but it's a class apart of my highschool ones , and i'm not with the group who start completly from the scratch,because of my ridiculous timetable... so i'm with persons who at least know how to introduce themselves and have a lil chat in Japanese with the teacher ... For them ,it was more a lil quizz to check if they remembered their katakana well. for me ,it was a totally new thing erf (even if i knew hiraganas )

and yeah kurisu , but at first i hadn't seen how the hell the two words were linked (the fact that we pronounce the "th" from arthur " t" wasn't helping eh )

two things

1) Fucking finally, the fountain pen I got for my birthday is about to be shipped lol

2) Went to see the international college counselor today and save for deciding to take the TOEFL exam ASAP, it's only served to make me feel even more lost. Feels like trying my best to study for and take the APs I want will be hell and not all that effective or impressive. Volunteer work and something to demonstrate my interest in astrophysics is what I need the most, save for like FAR AND WIDE BETTER grades. Still feeling lost. Never going to realize my full potential, but that hasn't sunk in yet. Also there's the fact that I am not at all confident in maths OR physics, and I don't have the theoretical knowledge of astronomy to establish a club at school or anything of the sort to demonstrate interest.

So in short, I have no idea what I'm doing or going to save for the fact that my laziness fucked my shit up.

i think i did well on my chapter quiz.... only thing that should possibly gank me are some of the hiragana glides mixed in with double consonants, chogakku and fking milk gyuunyuu and whatnot, but meh

ugh, one thing i didn't account for in my conquest of tanking full time skoo + part time work + 4 hr avg nightly sleep

is getting sick

legit lost all of my tanking powers, i simply NEED mah sleep now, im visibly grouchy, and my morale is at an all time low with my procrastination at an all time high, ggez

 

on a more positive note, with my limited time i've been finding myself playing Galgun on my Vita more than ColdSteelII which i should be playing, this shit is the only thing keeping me sane

Confession: I function better on 6 hours of sleep or less than i do on 7 hours or more. If i get too much sleep, then i end up losing energy and motivation to do stuff.
