Kenshin_sama Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Confession: I never trust MAL scores (though I will still watch that anime). :> Quote
Flutterz Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Confession: I spent all day watching Kimi Uso, primarily to find out if I'd end up disliking Kaori like I disliked Misaki from NHK. Thankfully, I didn't. I have to agree that it was pretty predictable though, but good nonetheless. Quote

Flutterz Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Confession: One of my anime song lyrics videos on youtube just got removed via a copyright strike, which also explains why it was getting so many views. It's a bit of a bummer, but thankfully I only spent about an hour on it. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Neither have I. The only superhero movie I have completely watched is The Avengers. Quote

crunchytaco Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Confession: I'm going through one of my ex's first mom stages. Last night she was comparing how I've been getting younger everyday while she's aged a lot since her pregnancy. She thinks it's going to be a big problem if we live together and I start fancying younger girls. But I told her I'd stay up to watch the kid while she can go out all she wants. Kosakyun and rainsismyfav 2 Quote

crunchytaco Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Confession: I got drunk tonight with my parents at a sushi bar. I think its precious to hear your mom and dad overtalk while they're on alcohol. Maybe because I'm getting old, but I'm dreading the day when my parents aren't around anymore to actually tell me things I need to hear. So kids, and kouhais, treasure your old folks while they're still around. Have a beer with them and take them places you might regret one day when you can't because they're not around anymore. Quote

Mine are in their 50s.  Confession: I don't get along with my father because he has a short temper and I'm generally really calm and lazy, so I often end up doing things that piss him off. It's fine while we live separately, but the longer we spend living in the same place the higher the likelihood that I'll do something that will make him mad. Quote
crunchytaco Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Just curious, how old are your parents? Mine are in their 50s. Â Confession: I don't get along with my father because he has a short temper and I'm generally really calm and lazy, so I often end up doing things that piss him off. It's fine while we live separately, but the longer we spend living in the same place the higher the likelihood that I'll do something that will make him mad. Â Mines are both 58. Â My dad and I used to always argue. It was after several heart surgeries later that I realized how fragile life is that I got over his personality. I'm the rare one of out of my house I suppose. None of my sibling really enjoy talking to him. Before my sister passed away, she always avoided calling him and talked directly to my mother. I think it's just normal since mom is always the good guy in the parental relationships. My dad is pretty embarrassing even when taking him out to order sushi since he waves at the waiter like he's a slave, orders food before he's even asked for his drinks and tips using his calculator but I think it's just sad imagining him in the hospital again frail and alone like that. Your parents really become like kids as you get older and they get smaller every year from shrinkage (bone density and muscle mass loss). I've also moved in and out of the house a lot so I got to experience the difference between a strangers version of telling you, "I love you," vs your parents version of telling you they love you. Kosakyun Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I generally have the same belief about parents. Parents do annoy you sometimes, yeah, but that's their way of saying that they love us and that they actually care for us. Meddling, worrying, scolding, and other stuff. Those are different methods that, while they are indeed annoying to some extent, they make us feel loved by our parents. I'm not one of the people who prefer that his parents not meddle in his affairs, really. I like telling my mother stuff. Maybe it's because I grew up with my mom being a single parent, but that's just who I am. If I don't appreciate her efforts as my mother, who else would? The others? No. It should be me, because I'm her child and I'm the one being given love. Even though I don't always show it, I love her, and I'd do stuff for her yeah. She can go and make me run errands and stuff, and that shouldn't make me mad. I will always be indebted to my mother, and I'll be paying off that debt my whole life. Yes. I can go and marry and stuff, but I won't be forgetting about her. Because she's my mother, and she's the only mother I'll have in this lifetime. Yeap yeap. Even though sometimes we disagree, we agree to disagree and agree to reach an agreement, because we can't leave things hanging between us, yeah. Mommy may not treat me the same way as other mothers treat their children, but that's okay. I don't need eternal pampering. Just the thought of my mother worrying about me and kissing me as I go leave the house is enough, really. Oh. My mother's 36. She gave birth to me when she was 19. She chose not to get rid of me, even though I came into her life too early. That fact will always stay by me, and will always make me cherish my mother. She's the person I'll definitely love 'till I leave this place. Yes, my dear mother. Â Of course she knows that. Of course that's embarrassing to others, but who cares. I think loving someone with all your heart shouldn't be something embarrassing. Â Confession: I'm from a broken family like some other people. My dad was 45 when I was born. Well, he's 61 now. I still see him, even though he left me when I was, like, 6 years old or something. He came back 6 years after, and has been supporting me ever since. I don't hate him or anything, since I don't think I can hate people, but I think he's still doing wrong things. He's still hunting for girls, since he's as handsome and ever, and could probably beat up people. As I'm typing this, I'm actually preparing to meet him again this afternoon, since I just graduated and he wants to see me. Â Sorry for the long post. I just had to get that out of my system. Not that it's bad to keep it in or something. I just want to share it to people. Young'uns these days tend to dislike their parents because 'lol ur suffocating me', and that's just sad. crunchytaco and Kenshin_sama 2 Quote

Abyssal Monkey Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Confession: I've been doing so much random shit this past week that if I hadn't made checking the anime/manga subforum and this thread a habit I would have forgotten Fuwa existed.  Back off to dual MMO, read about 5 LN's I've missed, catch up on about 3 manga, watch ~20 episodes of anime, finally finish Cross Channel, help my brother move and fix a car that my other brother screwed up, go do my job that I randomly got assigned by a family member, all while bantering with my friend over the phone as I attempt to help him get one of the MMO's working in WINE, and Chaos;Head working on his laptop.  Sorry guys, looks like I might be out for a week Quote
