Question about playing Nukiges

Hello everyone, first time posting! Anyways, what I would like to ask everyone is when you play a nukige or anything with high sexual content that has a generic story, do you actually play through the entire game or just download a save file and just view the H-Scenes?

If I just wanted to view the HCGs I wouldn't download the game to begin with, not really worth it. I'd just find a gallery online and that'd be that.

When I download a Nukige it's because I want to play through it even if it's just for the h-scenes. It's more entertaining than just looking at the CGs since you have context and "dialogue".

I'll play through the game, but I'll usually make liberal use of the skip function.

The game itself is focused on H content, so there won't be a whole lot of dialogue or plot, perhaps a few transition scenes. I'd say there ain't much difference but playing usually makes things a little more interesting, take euphoria for example. You also have CTRL when you need it.

I typically read a nukige or two between larger pieces, just for that feeling of "Ah, now I can relax and play a game with an actual story."  It helps clear my mind and prepare myself to jump into a new story.

There are a few nukige out there I've genuinely enjoyed (the Sono Hanabira stuff is well done, X-Change is a fetish interest of mine, and Bible Black was good), but truthfully they are few and far between.  If they have good art, and there aren't a billion grammatical errors (I'm looking at you, Mangagamer), I'll take the couple of hours to play it.

Well, to be more precise I'd read/listen to the beginning, then control-skip through the middle and mouse-up to bring up the chatlog, skim through that, and then read/listen to the end xD

Oh, I always read though those. But well, I'm picking such titles because I'm looking for interesting stories with high (and preferably wicked) sexual content in the first place, not (just) for fap material.

 

That aside, context, story, characterization and good writing in general can really make the difference here. Nukiges usually fail in that department (with some exceptions), that's why many of those are very dull, even when the HCGs alone seem interesting. On the other hand, in something like https://vndb.org/v3977 for example, some consensual scenes that look completely generic on HCGs, were actually very nightmarish and heartrending (not to even mention all those tentacle rape scenes and stuff - the writing really adds a few levels of horribleness to everything there). Good stuff. Awful, but good. ^^
