[SOLVED] Utwarerumono start up problem Windows 8.1

Info:

 

-I downloaded Fuwa's version

 

-I get a black box that closes when I start up utaware-voice.exe

 

-I tried all compatibility modes and running as admin

Have you made sure that the torrent isn't seeding? I'm running on 8.1 and haven't run into any problems.

I'm using it on a tablet but it's still Windows 8.1, 32bit version.

I didn't need neither of those to play it, but then again I didn't play on a tablet. If you really do need it though you can get it here.

Downloaded the ISO GetterE. provided. Do I just mount and run it?

This might be the issue. Are using the new surface pro 3? If so then you should have no trouble running it unless microsh*t didn't update its whitelist.

If you're using the older versions which run windows RT then you won't be able to run it.

Naw, I have windows 8.1 32bit. It's a genuine windows. 

 

I just got it to run right now after downloading the ISO.

 

This is how I did it

 

1.) Mount ISO using daemon tool lite

 

2.) Download and install the mirrormoon english patch (while ISO is mounted.)

 

3.) Download and install the voice patch (I just opened up the fuwa torrent and checked three files: utware-voice.dll, utawre-voice.exe, UTSOUND.SFS) by moving those files into the game folder.

 

4.) Run utaware-voice.exe

 

Works like a charm and the game looks beautiful by the way. I really dig the art and music.
